The Aipas A6 Cargo ebike is available to buy with either dual batteries or a single battery offering about 40-80 miles of range depending on your load and riding style. The Aipas A6 Cargo load capacity is 450 lbs and the bike weighs about 72 lbs. The 1300w peak motor which runs at 750 watts nominal is strong enough to conquer the 20% grade pretty easily, which is a great indicator of towing capacity.

Aipas A6-D Ebike: Save $200 on one (code:A6DEBIKE200)
Save $450 on two (code:A6DEBIKE450)
From a distance the Aipas A6 Cargo electric bike looks very similar to the Lectric Xpedition except for the front fork, this one has suspension to make the ride a bit nicer than a rigid frame. It will take away from range slightly as well as increase the weight of the bike, there's always trade offs, right?
Is this a Lectric Xpedition copycat, BUT better?

Part of the reason the handgrips spin is because they are attached to a very smooth painted surface. Back when I was kid, we’d use electric tape on the handlebars and then put the handgrips back on. Try that 😊

You do great reviews and the fact that you use the same route allows better comparison between bikes. I do, however, enjoy your "bike adventure" videos, like the ones to the Hollywood sign, and would watch those if you made them. I would suggest you stick with your standard review route and add a few "bike adventure" videos. Here are a few suggestions: Marina del Rey to Palos Verde Marina del Rey to Malibu Destinations near the eastern end of the Belona Creek bike path Your standard review route is right through my stomping grounds. I live on my sailboat in Marina del Rey and use the same routes almost daily. Your hill in Santa Monica is one I tackle every time I ride to doctor appointments and like the fact that I can compare my current ebike with those you review, especially since I dont have access to your parking garage. Ill also add that Im totally in agreement with what you said in your video about pros and cons of fat tire bikes. I had an Aventon Aventure bike that was stolen. I replaced it with a step through bike with 2.25 inch tires are like the narrow tires a lot more. The fat tires are noisy and the added weight makes it harder to move the front end of the bike around after riding up to a pedestrian crosswalk button.

Prefer the Lectric Xpedition, essentially same price. For a cargo bike strength & durability are more important so prefer the rigid fork over a cheap suspension fork. Also these Chinese companies are notoriously bad for customer support. (Plus you get the cool telescopic seat post.)

I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re from the same factory. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if an Xpedition 2.0 comes out soon and looks exactly like this. Not having front suspension is rough though. That makes for a very jarring ride even if it’s carbon fiber like a road bike.

I do like the upgrades on this bike. However are you going to get support a year after owning? Will you get a new display or controller after warranty is done like Lectric may do? Probably not. The return info/warranty info on this brand is super strict. They didnt address the kickstand issue either. Shocks can wear out after a while if they are cheap, you wont be able to buy this fork anywhere which is why a sturdy steel fork is preferred. I'd hold off till a mid drive with torque sensing is available. There is 1 service center in the entire US according to their website, and I couldnt even find a name for it in Michigan. I do like that they list the cells on this bike though, something Lectric doesnt advertise.

Other review tips that no one does, but would be awesome: 1. From stop, use single half pedal stroke in highest gear, with pedal starting at 120-135 degrees from bottom, while holding throttle for exactly one second. Then just glide no throttle. Most displays will keep showing higher speed on glide. This number is the actual 1 second acceleration from 0 on the ebike. How fast you can make a left turn. 2. Roll in at a PAS level that gives under 10mph max, pedal, throttle, and increase PAS level simultaneously for exactly 2 mississipi count, then stop everything and glide. Most displays again keep going up. This tests the combination of bike ergonomics, mid-low end acceleration relevant to rolling stop sign crossing. Could also try shifting mechanical gears while increasing PAS level for an "extreme score". These tests take very little time. One spot on your route suited would be the sidewalk before you join traffic, that also has that desert bush garden you sometimes cross.

@@triaxe-mmb the abound is only $100 more than the XPedition and offers a lot, this Chinese clone is $100 less so savings there but they are a brand new company, with no support and likely a worthless warranty as they are not big enough to offer one you can trust. Lectric and Abound are big with support centers everywhere. I'd skip this cargo bike and only focus on the XPedition or the Abound. @@DestinationFawked that's exactly my concern... Honestly if someone reliable took the best features of the Lectric XPedition, Aventon Abound, and Velotric Packer1 cargo bikes and sold it for a slight premium - say $200-300 more than the most expensive of the 3 - that works - I would buy it as a preorder...that works out to a 10-15% premium over currently available prices on those 3 bikes (after the perennial discounts). My ask list is basically a front suspension fork, seat suspension with dropper post, dual battery set up with 3 amp charger, an optional 4amp charger, 26" front wheel, turn signals and active brake lights, loud horn, name brand brakes (Tektro probably at this price point), 2 Yepp childseat windows, etc... Hey dude, love your videos and chose Aipas for my first ebike. Unfortunately since ordering I have encountered dozens of people waiting for months for a bike that is listed as “in stock” on the website but definitely isn’t. They claim to have the bike on your doorstep in 2-5 days. People are waiting months. Some aren’t getting bikes at all. Just look in the comments of their FB advertisements. People are all over the place not receiving their orders. Any chance you can use your influence to warn people off? This company appears to be acting in bad faith.

This copy cat bike brings a possible video to mind. Load the lectric and this bike up to max weight. And test them out. I predict the frount suspension fork would become a liability. And the frame integrated battery cut out may be a possible bend point to give way under load.

Wow! seems to address the common complaints of the Lectric Expedition and is currently selling at lower price. Adds front suspension, brake light, turn signal and quieter motor. The dual battery is currently $1.8k before coupon, $1.6k after coupon. Expedition dual battery is $1.7k.

@@hackman88 Same thoughts when he pulled all those staples and I was like, just pull the bike out dude. I'll admit the front suspension is nice to have and almost 300 bucks cheaper because this company doesn't charge tax, but there is a lot to go wrong going by Lectric forums and while Lectric has the capacity to help out if there is an issue including having a service network nationwide - this company ain't got shit. The deciding factor for me is the dual batteries on the Lectric are standard and can be replaced and swapped easily. Internal batteries have a clock that is always ticking as to when you'll have to either overpay for OEM ones form the company itself (and usually at a premium) or rebuild the cell inside. The future proof option is Lectric for me, but gambles do pay off sometimes so I can see why the savings and suspension are enough to convince one to go with this Aipas.

Hey! Thanks for another solid review. The bike in question tho? Yeesh. The welds looked awful on that thing. - As far as your cruise circuit goes, man it's cool as hell and I wish i lived someplace that chill. I don't mind other routes but yeah, your standard '20 percent hill' and California Incline runs really let me compare machine performance... I'm a REALLY big dude (6'6" & 340 lbs), power is critical, and torque is KING. - I guess just keep on keepin' on, I'm fighting a bunch of anti-electric and anti-eBike crap in my home town right now, and I always love your chill. - Oh and any chance you might review the Fabulous Road Warrior X2 60v? I'd love to see more unique ebikes that AREN'T moped styled. Thanks again dude.

@justinchampion5468
@justinchampion5468 8 месяцев назад
Did you mean 'fine' as in 'Servicable and solid' or 'fine' as in smooth and high quality... Aventon and Trek do good welds, and that's my standard. - I'm glad your A6 was good for you, but if your welds look good and all, that just suggests their internal QC is SUS. - Just my 2c, not tryna start a fight. @@hackman88

This bike looks like it was built by the same 3rd party that builds the Lectric bikes...the only real difference on frame is the angle of thw cross brace and the inframe battery...even looks like the lectric has the same tube but without the integrated battery and related cutout... Wonder if this front fork assembly and the turn signals can be transplanted on the XPedition...only cause i have never heard of this brand...i know Lectric is likely to be around in 5 yrs when i need parts...not sure of this one...

Other than a front suspension, looks like a rip-off of the Lectric Expedition, or vise vera?
@warmon6
@warmon6 7 месяцев назад
Its pretty much the same ebike with a different label and some minor tweaks as far as I've researched. Lectric contracts "MONSTER INTERNATIONAL TRADECO" to make their ebikes (or at least make their frames). Aipas is "MONSTER INTERNATIONAL TRADECO" ebike brand name. So both ebikes have the same origin, its just if you want a US company you want to talk to for issues or deal with the original manufacturer directly.
@Chriscam2you
@Chriscam2you 2 месяца назад
Certainly is a shameless knockoff of the Lectric Xpedition, and it has a couple nice small additions, but they come at a price of about $500 additional spend. Everybody makes a big deal about suspending front forks, but honestly on mainly street only riding on big fat tires, I don’t see the need at all, just another maintenance headache. The improved lighting from that of the Xpedition would be great for sure, but $500 for them, probably not doing it. I imagine Lectric will change a few of these features on future versions, and maybe add lighting upgrades for current versions.

Lectric should maybe spend less on marketing and put a couple of bucks more into their products. Fancy marketing and a seemingly limitless ad spend doesn’t make the ride any smoother, a $20 spring loaded suspension fork does😂. It would be nice if you told us the weight of the bikes as that can be an important factor for people.
