The DBSM single battery and DBSMD dual-battery bodypack transmitters are fully compatible with the DSQD, DCHR, DSR, DSR4, DCR822, and M2Ra digital receivers and feature a tuning range of 470 to 608 MHz (470 to 614 MHz for the E01 export version). The new transmitters include specially developed, high efficiency circuitry for extended operating time on AA batteries, and offer RF power selections at 10, 25 and 50 mW. In addition, a new, selectable high-density transmission mode (HDM) at 2 mW allows for much tighter channel spacing, yielding more than double the operating frequencies per available spectrum.
With an audio frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz in standard transmission mode, a dynamic range of 112 dB, and a flat in-band phase response, the DBSM and DBSMD provide studio-grade sound, with low noise, for the most demanding productions.

These look great. Just need superslot compatible receivers to complete the package. Very interested to find out how the range compares with analog systems. I was an early adopter of another digital system and had range and stability issues which led me to purchase the SMDWB's which have been superb.

The recording function on my SMWBs never gets used. Much as I love Lectrosonics kit, I am leaning more towards other manufacturers for the ability to record with TC whilst in tx mode. Can't Lectrosonics enable this in their UK/EU models.

This a patent issue - because we are a US manufacturer, we are bound by US patent law, no matter where the units are sold or used.

The difference between the DBSM/DBSMD transmitters and the SMWB/SMDWB transmitters is that the former are fully digital, have 2x the tuning range, offer encryption, and have superior sound quality. However, they can only be used with digital receivers (DCHR, DCR822, DSQD, DSR4, etc.) The older Hybrid transmitters have almost all the same features except for what is listed above, and they can be used with any receiver - both Hybrid and Digital, except the DCHR.
