Great information, please keep up the great work! I just stumbled upon the channel and am extremely excited to learn more about neurophysiology and psychology with the help of you and your videos.

This is very biased misinformation, nicotine is a compound within tobacco, nicotine as its sole compound, when vaporized, is entirely different from smoking dry tobacco via cigarettes which also contain MAOI's (which are also addictive alongside nicotine) and a profound amount of excess carcinogens, which lead to lung cancer, the deaths that you mention with constant tobacco use has absolutely nothing to do with nicotine. Nicotine, as its own compound is still very psychologically addictive, with a mild physical addiction profile, associating it directly with the deaths of tobacco use is extremely misinformative, it is a shame that students actually come here to learn about how certain compounds may affect the body and brain, and come upon this video thinking these are the actual implications of nicotine alone, it is your duty as a professor to get the right information and i'm very disappointed.

I disagree that nicotine alone is addictive as is tobacco. Ammonia is added to tobacco along with other chemicals to free base nicotine to make it more addictive. So, vaping nicotine would not be as addictive as cigarettes. Recent research shows nicotine gum is not addictive when used by most non smokers. FYI: sound cuts out during video. Some great info!
