Sir thanks, how i can know the depth of penetration in a cylinder solid, i mean i want to make a tempering, the diameter is 100 mm, the length is 380 mm, but i only want to heating 20 mm of diameter, how i can to calculate the time to be exposure the piece? I have to heat 5inch diameter hollow iron piece which having length about 7inch, thickness is 0.3189inch and heating time is 15 minutes. How much energy will it consume. Kindly give me solution formula or please solve it for me. Thanks
