This video describes the protective provisions for exposed conductive parts and wholly or partly conductive structures within Overhead Contact Line Zone (OCLZ) & Current Collector Zone (CCZ) as prescribed in EN 50122-1. It explains the basics behind such protective provisions through simplified electrical circuits and lays the foundation for earthing and bonding provisions for wayside equipment (SIG, COM, MEP, Traction, etc.) and civil structures.

I apreciate your videos, good job man👍Could you please explain in the next video, the earthing and bonding system for railway structures, like bridges and viaducts, especially electrified in 25kV, and how to protect their stell reinforcements, rebars, and all metalic elements located on the structures. Thank you!

You are doing a very Informative series. Deeply covering the topics. Got to learn lot from your lectures. Many thanks please. I need to know more about requirement of earthing of structural RCC bars of various levels, piers, slabs, piles of a metro station. Hope you will please make a lecture on this.

Thank you Sir, great videos, learn alot from all of your videos. I have a request, Please make a video about LFO (low frequency oscillation) in AC Traction System, i have been doing research in this topic, and kinda stucking currrently, hope u can give me a lil intro or some fundamentals for better understading. thx in advance :))

Thanks for making this Completely informative video. Please suggest any book which good for AC traction system.

There is no particular book for traction system which I refer. I prefer reading each system separately which helps a lot. Some of the books referred by me are Power System Analysis - Stevenson, Power electronics & drives - Bimal Bose, Voltage source converters - Yazdani, Electric Machines - PS Bhimbra & MG Say, IEEE papers, international standards (IECs, ENs, IEEEs)

Thank you for this video , please for the case of dépôt is the same approche? As in depot we will have lot of conduits and metallic duct ventilation in CCZ zone how to make it safe ?
@railwayengineeringinsights6463
All metallic ventilation ducts and conduits irrespective of CCZ have to be bonded to return circuit at nearly every 50m (min.) inside any building as per IEC 60364-4-44. In case of ac traction return circuit is same as Rails and Earthing system of building.
