I bought some new fog lights for my 2018 F-150. I wanted to show my process of installing them in hopes it make help others out. Link for LED Lights: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07...
These lights are so simple to install! Thanks for the video. Had them both in in 15 mins Only issue I had was my old ones were so corroded I had to replace the original connectors. Couldn’t get them out on the light in one piece.
How are you liking them? I have stock cracked plastic and would like to replace the whole thing with this kit. Are they holding up for the price and look good at night?
@@minecrafter4623 Yes. They were great, especially because it was cheap to install. I ended up selling the truck and the new owner bought complete LED replacement lights for $1300. But, for under $80 I believe it was, it was so worth it.
@goodcleanfun,, How did you enable Bambi mode? I have a 2015, getting ready to install those same LED lights, Thanks for the video! btw, just found this video
Thanks! I got the grill from a seller on Amazon. I don't think the seller is even on the platform anymore. I paid around $250 for it. I am also pretty sure it would not support the front camera.
You need to use FORScan to change the settings. Once you get FORScan (and an OBD2 Scanner like OBDLink MX+) you can look up the values to change to enable Bambi Mode.
They came with the truck. I don't think they were part of any package though. It may be indigenous to the Lariat trim. If it fits my truck it would fit yours, but you may need a converter if you're going from halogen to LED.
I doubt you would have any ideas on this but I bought this product and I’m having them flicker between the white and yellow. Any ideas on why this could be happening? I’m thinking bad wiring
I had to do this through FORScan. You connect to the vehicle's computer with a laptop and you can change how your vehicle operates. Search "Bambi mode forscan" and I am sure you'll find videos on it.
The ones I have are not sold anymore, but these ones should work. www.amazon.com/OFFROADTOWN-Square-Driving-Lights-Trucks/dp/B088JTHRY7/ref=sr_1_29?crid=3D5F8JWQT2ISN&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.aEkcrcGdl35ogP77-SLWtOlJ-pkJgEbOiDrJtsbTdPj7emYmp3xcad9JbP6bC1EMaO8kMXKJnFEBorVe4MuMwa5Jflc_4qPDOMNhRG0LhQWrPkBionf25i9PkGeB81G-_xKpTKoYsghZRSXLlQKJjYP6TW767mKmqfPRqJDR5z65t0iDr2saTzAhUVbswoI3UBPcqIuGjGya2URkL7kUQt3WS8mdrbVu85fH0dit--RJq6ieY89lAZlQ53iTYjvV-IZkAp7YHXi8c7r1dA5BMU1KQEa_Q2cSa8gCsvk5RRc.mzVQ2eEQuAmcvG83jPG58YZM5WFf2You1g2qFscdCjA&dib_tag=se&keywords=LED%2BPods%2BSpot%2BLight%2BBar&qid=1710091394&sprefix=led%2Bpods%2Bspot%2Blight%2Bbar%2B%2Caps%2C120&sr=8-29&th=1
The aftermarket tires do have a significant reduction in MPG compared to the stock wheels. These are 305/55/20 so not only are they taller, but they are much wider as well. I mostly drive around town in this truck and I get between 15 to 16 mpg.
Can you elaborate on this "Bambi" mode?? I'm upgrading my dogs right now on my 2019, sure would love to have full output on all lights like this lol. Comes in handy when that smartass wants to flash his lights because he thinks mine are on bright. I really, REALLY like to show them they're wrong 😂😂🤣🤣
For my 2018 F-150 XL, I needed to get a bumper with the foglight cutouts, then swap out a wiring harness (easy) and the dashboard switch. There are other videos on YouTude showing exactly what parts are needed and how to do it. Hardest part for me was working in the cramped space behind the new lights.
