Not sure when they might be releasing the RWD version in the future but hopefully a lot more people will be able to buy one then.

@@TeslaSpaceNerd Lots of Teslas in my neighborhood, but I've got the only Cybertruck (not a beast, just Foundation). My first Tesla, so still getting used to the joy of waking up every morning with a "full tank," and many other superior qualities. BTW, if you miss your FSD, you can still use the Autopilot - but you'll need to do the steering. Can't wait for the FSD for Cybertruck. Take care! And enjoy!

Thanks! Less than 1 week! I was out of town when my VIN showed up, and so I took care of the proof of insurance and final payment as quickly as possible, then was able to schedule pick up very shortly after that. I think it was VIN on Tuesday and pickup Saturday

Sticker price continues to come down. And total cost of ownership (rolling in all the maintenance and costs for charging etc) is super low compared to other gas vehicles. That on top of the EV tax credit, you may be closer than you think
Thanks man! I’m actually down in Dothan, AL, but we had to drive to Fayetteville to take delivery. (Alabama is one of those “dealership only” states that doesn’t allow direct sales). Columbus is not all that far from Dothan, but we’re not up that way very often. Typically more in the Bham area or down near Orlando when we’re out of town.
I configured on 12/26/23, got my VIN 7/22/24 took delivery on 7/27/24. I did change my order from the white decor to the gray decor early in May, so I don’t know if that had any impact or not. I also submitted docs for the long term shareholder promo, but I never got any feedback from that so I don’t know if that made any difference either. I was a day 1 reservation holder.
@@TeslaSpaceNerd yeah, I was kind of thinking the same thing and with the end of the quarter coming up real quick (and I only went with the dual), we know how they like to blitz in the last few weeks. Fingers crossed.
No, I still have the Model Y. Love it still too. Especially since it’s still my only vehicle with FSD. Once Cybertruck gets FSD I’m afraid the Y might get neglected some, but I think we’ll still drive it. Just different use cases.
Cybertruck not safe. Check out Baytown Tx on one car accident involving a cybertruck. Accident is under investigation but driver and vin # unidentified. Good luck.
Tesla makes some of the safest vehicles on the road, and Cybertruck is no exception. If humans are involved there will be accidents, but I’d rather be in a Tesla than any other vehicle if I am in a collision. Very advanced safety features and software/hardware to match.
Trying to do it with zero down would definitely be painful. But since I had 1710 days to prepare for this purchase, I was more ready than I would have been if it had been ready on time. 😁
I would recommend to change that accelerator pedal right away, otherwise it will kill you. It slides off and stuck. I’m pretty sure that’s what happened to that fatal Cybertruck crash.
They’ve already addressed that issue. There was a glue adhesion issue with the top plate, and they have since pinned it at the bottom to prevent that failure mechanism. Only showed up on a couple of trucks and they jumped on it immediately. I don’t believe any wrecks were attributed to that issue. Thanks for watching!
Ha, fair, yeah I should have at least turned the volume down. But Cybertruck still doesn’t have FSD yet, so I do have to hear the navigation or I’ll miss my turns. 😆
