LED "No Right Turn" Blank Out Signs With Dual Left Turn Lanes in Mississauga, Ontario!

I found two intersections in Mississauga, Ontario that have an LED "No Right Turn" blank out sign! It lights up when the opposite direction receives their left turn green arrow.
Because there are 2 left turn lanes and 2 exiting lanes, the LED "No Right Turn" blank out sign is here to prevent right turns from cutting off drivers turning left from the opposite direction.
I really enjoyed watching how it improved compliance!
I still prefer they install a right turn overlap, and add a "No Right Turn On Red Except On Green Arrow" sign, but keep the LED blank out "No Right Turn" sign, in case they install a leading through arrow interval in the future.
As much as I prefer banning right turns on red except during a right turn overlap, I still find these intersections with LED "No Right Turn" blank out signs interesting and enjoyable to watch, especially how it improved compliance when lit up!

this is a great idea I wonder how good compliance is

I think they also do that at NB Colossus Dr at Highway 7 in Vaughan, and the EB 403 offramp at Watertown Rd In Burlington, but there they use blank-out "no Right on red" signs instead of just "no right turn" signs. In Calgary, they also sometimes do this when traffic from the right has a U-turn signal (such as at the International Ave bus lane)

@@UsernameIncoming I videotaped those intersections in Vaughan too! They added one for the 404 northbound off ramp at Sheppard Ave E.

Would this also be a good option to use along with a Leading Pedestrian Walk Signal?

@@amosnider It would improve right turn yielding compliance for both a leading through or pedestrian interval.
