Quick update. I bought a Samsung UHD 43" QLED Q60T (2020 model) from Amazon for 530 usd. Amazon sent me the the UHD 43" QLED Q60T (2021 model) by mistake at no extra charge. The difference in picture quality between my 2010 and 2021 model is is night and day. I am very satisfied w my purchase

@@IIrs1996 Definitely worth the buy specially if you're into gaming and watching sports. The high refresh rate is definitely an upgrade and I have been spoiled by this feature on my PC and i'm glad to have it on my TV too! Honestly the difference between an OLED and QLED is not that much a big deal unless you have your TV Placed on a bright environment. Overall The TCL C735 is a worthy upgrade and it has been serving me pretty well for the past 6 months.

Precisely the q just came from quantum dot which is what triluminous was in like 2014. The recreated it in hous and dumped the company that made it and samsung picked them up. Except samsung has not been as good at it imo. Their processing is just not as good to me.

funny 10 months later burn in is not a matter anymore and yes miniled is set but with different names , still oled is the latest real new change to the tv history

@@hormi8672 OLED will burn in, is simply the nature of the material. It is and will always be this way. Nowadays the burn in comes little later or is slowed, via bottlenecking the viewing experience. They slap a bunch of software and hardware features to dial back the OLED performance, by brightness decrease, black frame insertions, pixel shifting, contrast adjustment, to name a few. They do all this, and it affects the viewing experience, but hey, now your tv lasts longer. But now most advantages OLED had over LCD is diminished. Then what is the point of having OLED? OLED look brilliant, and a raw panel with best performance and quality (without all lifespan extending features) looks extremely good. But it will maintain that performance for around a month with good usage. So mini led, with quantum dots and dual layer LCD is the best thing, it looks better than OLED too in bright scenes, and it will provide closer contrast that OLED provide. But i have maybe seen one TV which had dual LCD with QDOT, but it didnt have mini-LED only a FALD. But it looked very close to OLED. So mini-led version would be a game changer.

@@Brbrnskhgf5666 thats what a lot of people say but my friends c9 oled already has burn in... I bought a qn90a instead and its surprisingly close to his oled just without any of the downsides...

@@kashyap72 I've used 3 LED screens over the years and not 1 had this mysterious beast called ''burn in'' that so many people love to frighten with.

@@JustSomeGuyLV LED and OLED are two different things , an LED screen is just lcd with an led backlight therefore u obv won't get burn in at all

Higher price is better image, but he's totally right when he says in the video that whether a QLED is worth *THAT* much more money than a good LED screen is up to everyone's eye and the room it's in. When I've been looking at TVs in Best Buy and Costco recently, a lot of the QLED displays to me don't look like the value of money is there for the improvement (for the higher end LEDs). What's hard for us though when doing the comparison is that they'll have such specific videos playing on them to make them look their best, so it's not a real world comparison

A late reply, but I've noted that most TV's are dropping the ASTC 3.0 tuner spec from their TV's. That means if this takes off, you may lose the ability to receive the latest and greatest broadcast TV down the road (if you aren't using a dongle device like a Firestick, which you mostly pay for).

If you cant afford, get it!

I bought a lg cx 65 inch 7 months back and I’ve had to get a replacement because of issues. The issues still persists and now I’m trying to get a refund or another solution. It’s just not worth it for the drawbacks. Sure deep blacks are nice but besides that 👎

Qled is patented from samsung, samsung provide this technology to the sony like a lot others technologies, but yes they were first

Yeah but if u are gaming and watching movies/tv shows with subtitles on definitely go for led or qled... All the statics like subs and game UI will ruin the in 1-2 years

Yeah my old school Panasonic plasma still rocks .

Had to do it.

OLED is the evolution of plasma. This is what replaced it. No backlight, very bright and saturated colours. While LED LCD's replaced LCD TV's. Plasma is never coming back. And just like plasma before it, OLED suffers with the same image retention if left on a still image too long.

Uhm.. Curved screens DO wall mount. Atleast most of them. But a curved screen is really pointless when it's small or don't sit really close. You will never get the effect it's supposed to have. Only huge screens or PC monitors for gaming makes sense curved. That's also why they almost don't make curved TV's anymore.. Nobody wants them. And sitting on the side is useless. I can see it kinda work in a corner but you will never get the intended effect of the curve with just a 55"... Try 100" or more with 3m distance. THEN it makes sense :P

Bro the blacks aren’t true apparently but I don’t even see grey , the comparison from standard LED to QLED is massive , OLED fanboys seem to hate on it tho for some reason

You can't tell just from having quantum dots or not, a bunch of other things matter a lot more

Better Colours, Near perfect Black thus Dynamics Range. But much less bright and not the best not to drive them hard Day Light rooms. If you can control the light in a room OLED is superior. If you can't control the room QLED is more suitable.

Yes those were backlit differently with a fluorescent light as opposed to LEDs as I recollect and were consequently a lot thicker and less bright?

Led, lcd and qled tvs all use very similar panels. Led refers to the backlight, qled had another panel sandwiched into the lcd matrix to improve colour. But all essentially lcd panels.

Ccfl is the backlight used for older lcd tvs.
