Mario Rivera well, that's not the point at all. Just compare Live Aid to other gigs and you'll see exactly what I mean. Its just a fact that this one was one of their worse, if not the worst gig. There's nothing hateful about it, and from what I understand its what youre trying to imply.
Led Zeppelin played some bad gigs, for sure. When Page was on heroin and Bonzo had IBS and Plant's voice was fucked up... But their good shows, are the best of any band, anywhere in the universe. They reach a level unheard of before or since.
IAmStoned they only got famous bc they sold theirselves to the devil. Jimmy page admitted it in an interview, him and his band members practiced satanism in their career
@@dawsonsimpson4867 Anyone who believes this kind of garbage has anything to do with success is naive. They were successful because they were good, not because of some superstition.
I understand why they took on Jason for a show or so but I think Michael Lee who was with Plant Page is the closest I have ever heard to John Bonham. That kid is great. I say kid because I'm in my 50's now so you're all kids.
Like all I see, is people doing their job and failing at it... Thank you, as an aspiring musician its being therapeutic to see people I idolize and admire, being humans. And failing. Because with trial and error, comes sucess. But also failure. You never failed at school? Or at your job? College? So you see kids, failure is part of sucess. I really wish I could have read a comment like this, in a music related video when I was a 15 year old, im 25 now... So I hope you can appreciate what I have to say, or at least read it and tell me how you feel about it :) And thanks to Rockstar Fail for their amazing job
Recently just turned 25 and I really needed to hear this. This is some good stuff right here. Didn’t think I’d find something this introspective scrolling through zeppelin videos and watching live music on RU-vid lol.
Apparently Page's drug of choice was heroin, so yeah I guess a number of drugs will make ppl sweat badly. THANKFULLY i'm not really educated in all of that firsthand.
I never heard them play Tea for One live... what a treat! The opening riff is insane how it turns around on itself over and over again... sounds simple, but it's not easy to play.
Was that last mistake down to Jimmy or the orchestra behind him? I remember Plant saying later that they went on tour with some Egyptian musicians, but it never quite worked. He says here, they have done 103 performances together but there are still major mistakes.
Even Page can get tricked by his tricky parts. He is hands down the trickiest player I've ever had to learn. His hybrid picking is insane. One slip and it all falls apart. If you can even get it right the first time. Love you Jimmy! 🙏
@@KevyNova Try this one. I hope you've mastered your hybrid picking while dancing around stage for this one ✌: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bhdj9CDTj6M.html
@@KevyNova And here's another deceptively 'simple' tune. The entire live performance of SRTS is insane IMHO. I don't think there is a guitarist of his generation that could play those tunes. Not Clapton, not Hendrix, not Townsend, maybe Beck... in his own way but that's it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dgkantA8H3g.html
its funny how everyone is judging them based on their absolute worse- page and plant are spectacular performers and musicians anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves
Contrary to popular belief it isn't the drugs that makes people bad at playing most of the time, it's the permanent damage done to the brain which makes people unable to play without the drugs after they get sober.
The day will come when only one is left and they will tour and people will call it led zeppelin . Smh. The Beatles , like John and Paul in 1975 collaborated and performed live together but they were not called the Beatles.
I thought alcohol was his drug of choice during the Page/Plant era in the 90s. I dont know if he returned to smack after kicking in 82/83. It wasn't uncommon for these guys who kicked smack to turn into lushes ... Clapton, Keef... two that I can think of immediately.
Really?! He was notoriously rough on stage during his heroin years. Don’t get me wrong he’s an amazing guitarist and has had countless amazing performances but he had his fair share of fuck ups when he was strung out
Let’s be real, Jimmy Page couldn’t pass a blind audition for a bar band. I’ve been gigging for 30+ years and if I ever played like he does live, I would’ve been kicked out of any band immediately.
@@colinallen8924 I’m nobody. But I’ve been playing in working bands for 35 years and I’ve seen unknown guitarists in bars and clubs across the country who can play circles around Page. Seriously, if any unknown guitarist played like Jimmy Page does at a gig, they’d get kicked out of the band that night.
@@ftroop8462 I think Page sits down and does as many takes as needed to get it right in the studio, plus lots of editing. He’s a wizard in the studio but was never able to pull it off as well on stage.
@@KevyNova I mean that must be true but it's hard to imagine. He never seems dissatisfied with his ham-handed performance, his demeanor is more like 'nailed it!'
