Thank you so much to Yoyoka for the splendid “Fool in the Rain” cover. I am so thrilled! Yoyoka’s power, pace, precision, and thunderous right foot are incredible, as always. I am amazed at how seemingly effortlessly she handles the iconic Bonham shuffle at the beginning, and the Samba drum break in the middle was totally grand! Perhaps one day you could play it live with your family band; for some reason I think Shido would rather enjoy the referee’s whistle solo. I have seen many, many drummers attempt to play this song. While they often get the parts correct, they cannot replicate the feel. Yoyoka is the loan exception. Perfect feel, perfect technique, and perfect tone. She is my favorite living drummer.

This Led Zep song really stood the test of time. I was a teen when this song came out and I remember a lot of my friends were torn about whether it was a good song or not, because it didn't sound Zep enough. But, time has vindicated it. This is a song you can just sort of go in a trance with, and then that Samba break-down hits and you realize what good musicians these guys were and what a good sense of 'what will work' they had as well. JPJ was great on keyboards as well, and this is actually one of Jimmy Page's best ever solos, but because he did it with the buzzing distortion sound instead of pure electric guitar, it doesn't get quite the recognition it deserves.

Simply incredible. I’ve heard many drum covers of this song, but this young lady has something that is hard to teach, the nuanced flow, and groove of this song. She has the most natural and accurate rendition of Bonham’s style that I’ve ever heard… and she makes it seem effortless. Just close your eyes and listen…she’s right there in the pocket, totally relaxed. I’m just totally blown away. Congratulations Yoyoka, you have a very rare and special gift. I can only hope that you also delve into the world of jazz drumming someday as well. I can’t wait to hear what you do in the future!
