I'd advise you to jump down into the Led Zeppelin rabbit hole, start with the first song on the first album, "Good Times Bad Times", then continue through their entire discography, you'll be so amazed at their versatility, no song is the same and it's hit after hit, there really isn't another band that did that through their entire career, they're simply the best, the GOAT, and make sure you throw in some live along the way, their stage presence and the way they change it up from the studio versions shows the bands chemistry and skill ... just an idea, looking forward to your next Zeppelin video
I've watched Hendrix, Beck, Clapton, even SRV, and they are GOAT in their own right and time. But Page is phenomenal, innovative, inspiring, risk taker, song writer, producer, to put this sound together, when to showcase each musician's talents. That is really impressive. Led Zepplin - GOAT - any era.
When I was 17 I had just gotten my own apartment . It was an upper flat in Detroit. I grew up with 8 people in a small house and I needed privacy plus my boyfriend was black and I couldn’t let my parents know. Bruce and I used to listen to Zepplin and it would take us to another place in our heads. I liked listening to it alone too. The landlord downstairs used to tell me to turn it down all the time. When I listen to them now I think., we must have been pretty astute at choosing our music because we like all the best groups . Beatles, Stones, Small Faces, Beach Boys and Zepplin. Plus many more. We had great music when I was young.!
These guys really love the blues, & do a damn great job at them. My favorite is Since I’ve Been Loving You, live at Madison Square Gardens (1973), you really see the passion in that performance.
You gotta watch "Bring it On Home" from the same show, more rocked out blues, and you'll get to see Robert play the harmonica too. They are indeed the Goats, and this, imo, is their best show. Robert's voice at this age is just incredibly powerful! ☮️
One of my favorite Zeppelin performances. And no one, ever, has rocked a sweater vest the way Jimmy Page does. You should check out some Jeff Beck from the album Truth. Ain't Superstitious or Blues Deluxe. Same era, Rod Stewart singing at his best, and Jeff is arguably just as good, if not better than Jimmy on guitar. To see Jeff live check out anything from Live at Ronnie Scott's.
While Led Zeppelin's live stuff is great, you really should check out their studio/album recordings first, as the sound quality and attention to detail is MUCH better! This song is off of their first album released in 1969 (when they were in their early twenties), and pretty much every song is fire!
