If I’m not mistaken, this is a live audio from California over the film from Australia. You should check out the studio version to find the difference.
She's right.....many times fans or record companies, etc will create their own videos and put different shows with other LIVE or studio vocals. I'm not a fan of these kind of videos because I love the LIVES so much. But he's very much singing this LIVE.
You can hear the echo of Robert's vocals coming out the PA; audio is live from 6/25/72 in LA. Video is from the Australian tour in February 1972, specifically the Sydney Show Grounds show.
It's actually the Sydney Cricket Ground what was the Royal Easter Showgrounds (the Fair Grounds you mention) was on one side of it (that's now the Fox Studios where ironically enough they are filming some of the Thor stuff) on the other side is the Sydney Sports Ground which had a rectangular field rather than this huge oval at the SCG - the Sports Ground later became the Sydney football stadium when they upgraded it. I once watched Sheffield Shield cricket at the SCG and got to listen to a U2 concert multiple times in a day because Adam Clayton was sick and they went through their set that they were playing that night at the SFS with their bassist roadie who filled in 3 times before playing the first of a few shows without him.
The audio was recorded from the mixing board at this performance (Long Beach, CA 1972). The footage was pieced together years later from amateur film shot by fans at that show. Not every shot is from that specific song. The song is familiar from having been featured in the movies "Thor: Ragnarok", "School of Rock", one of the Shrek movies, "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" and others...
@@charlesreactss I should clarify, as others have noted, that this footage is from a 1972 show in Sydney, Australia. The audio is from 1972 shows in Long Beach & Los Angeles, CA. It was released on a 2003 album called "How the West Was Won".
This song in the studio is shorter, the live has a longer guitar solo. Their lives from Madison Square Gardens (1973) are really amazing, it was filmed for their movie, The Song Remains The Same. For concerts they always added more to songs, either longer solos, or Plant would add to the vocals or both. These 4 are the GOATS, & together they were the GODS of all music.
I know you have to react to all different genres of music, Charles, but you are a rocker to the roots. I noted the most views came from SRV and AC DC, and not just because people are loyal fans. It's because You display such enthusiasm and enjoyment from listening. I've no idea what music you enjoy in solitude, but This music has sent its' tendrils deep inside your frontal lobes & won't be shook loose. You're flyin' now, guy 😎
& oh those have more views because it’s a RU-vid algorithm game that I have to play also 😁 those have been viewed more in general so RU-vid will push me out to those who previously watched a different channel do it ... crazy huh
Ah Ha! Well then, their game worked in your favor if a few who checked you out ended up subs. You still exude the highest levels of participation when reacting to Rock and Blues; you'll become the "go to guy" for SRV 😎
Charles, you are back to your own cute self, we can see you loved this one. You mentioned the other day you have seen some Guns 'n Roses, their live Paradise city is rocking. My request, please 😘😘
Zepplin had one of the greatest all time drummers -John Bonham, the greatest versatile player ever -John Paul Jones, the greatest guitar player ever - Jimmy Page, and of course, the greatest singer-entertainer ever - Robert Plant. They had it all. Hall of famers, all but Bonham are still alive.
It was live , no fake stuff ... back then people could sing .. didn’t need auto fix , to make them sound good . No lip sinc.. Robert Plant can sing , the guys can play .
No, it's a live version, the video is film from two different nights, but the song is one single live performance from one of those nights. Shot with a cheap film video camera, obviously.
