The "slop" is were the soul and groove live. This is why pre Pro Tools rock is far superior in feel and groove than any pieced together, soulless modern recordings.
What 95% of all these "experts" do not understand, Jimmy was slurring notes ON PURPOSE! He would repeat that slur consistently on the same song. That's not sloppy. That's his unique style. He was always changing, the sign of the one true genius. All the know it alls that bag his playing, they can't play to save themselves, but of course they can judge God! I personally don't give a shit about precision, how fast someone can play, i only care how it makes me feel, about the passion in the playing. This is why Jimmy and Paul Kossoff are the 2 greatest to me! Players like EVH leave me cold, they have the passion of a dead fish.
