The 4 year old girl he refers to is his daughter, lest you get the wrong idea! On the studio version he says "3 years old", which she was when they recorded it. Led Zeppelin were masters of transitions, maybe only beaten by Rush in that regard. For me, this is a favourite track from a favourite album, for my own reasons, but The Song Remains The Same is probably top for me - I think of it as a summer song, again for my own reasons (memories!). Great fun to play on guitar too, and the MSG 73 version is superb, coupled with The Rain Song.
