They have a whole song called "The Lemon Song" that you really ought to pay attention to. One of my personal favorites. I especially like that JPJ's talent on the bass really shows out on that one.

After Bonham’s death, the band was still obligated to release one more album. I believe these are songs that never made it on other albums. Just like finishing tour dates, after his Yardbird band mates all quit, Jimmy Page fulfills obligations. To fulfill his Yardbird concert dates, in 2 weeks Page found Plant & Bonham, & JPJ asked if he needed a bass player. They played those concerts as the New Yardbirds, to then change their name to Led Zeppelin. Damn good thing they had songs they hadn’t used, not sure how they would have made this last required album. Thank you for your reaction.

This album released the year I graduated high school. It got cracked on quite a bit but I really liked it for it's rawness....and as always, plenty of good riffs. Glad you're listening to it!

This track was (mostly) improvised in the studio, and the recording was done in one take, minus overdubs.

Zepplin, at their best, maybe not the most popular, but the full force, of four amazing musicians, that knew their roles!..❤

I hope you will get around to Baby Come on Home. It was an extra on the Coda album. Legend has it that it was found in a dumpster...

The world didn't know of this song by LZ inspired by Robert Johnson's Traveling Riverside Blues, until around 1990 when the box set was released. Jimmy Page has been marketing LZ ever since!

As a kid i focused on the guitar and vocals. As a 51 year old i cant help but focus on the "rhythm" section, the work of Bonham and JPJ.

Put your Indiana Jones hat on and dig deep. Look for Robert Johnson's "traveling riverside blues".

Yes, that's right....16. Keep in mind, this is not far from the days when many adults stopped schooling at 8th grade to work on the farm or get married at 14-15 years old. Jimmy Page's girlfriend was 14, Elvis married his 14 year old sweetheart, Jerry lee Lewis married his 14 year old 2nd cousin (they waited for her birthday). People were much more mature 50 years ago at a much younger age.

I think this was an old Robert Johnson blues song.

Great, cliche filled blues jam that most Led fans didn't even know until they released their original CS box set. Man I guess that was the early 90s. I think he's borrowing lyrics from a few different blues classics, but this is mostly Robert Johnson inspired...the lyrics not the arrangement and plugged in sound.
