Coda is NOT a studio album. After Bonham passed away Zeppelin put out Coda as a type of appeasement to the fans. Page said at the time that is what was left in the vaults. Obviously we know today that was not remotely the case. It's all stuff that didn't make it on the previous albums. We're Gonna Groove is from the Royal Albert Hall performance, IMHO their best filmed concert.
A full reaction to the January, 1970 Royal Albert Hall show is a must, @SoulTrainBro. It was intended as a concert film, and never became such. The encores alone - two Eddie Cochran songs + Bring it on home - really capture the growing hysteria of a young Led Zeppelin. TY Sir. #1amtheshit
Martin Popoff is a music writer specializing in band/artist biographies. He has written some really great and in depth biographies of many of our favorite artists such as Rush Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and many others. I highly recommend Martin's books. You can also see him very often on the Sea of Tranquility RU-vid channel with Pete Pardo where they talk about nothing but music. [Great channel]
Yeah…hi Wayne.,,,,,,Evelyn here. Yeah, I remember the travesty of that second video the first time around. Gawd. I think we agreed on how awful it was! 😉😁
For the very best of RP post LZ, check out RP Band of Joy: black dog, rock n roll or Ramblin on. Don't care for his post LZ stuff at all, but this is some fantastic zep material. You and ur audience won't be disappointed, I promise. First class musicians.
I don't mind seeing pretty women, but that was Gawd awful. The music made up for it though. I was trying to picture what you might look like as a youngster groovin to Groovin! Would love to see some of your childhood pics! It sounds like you had a great childhood from what you've mentioned over the years. Great reaction!
John a whole bunch of Zeppelin stuff just got unblocked at the same time. Exactly the same thing happened last year at this time. I've got no explanations.
