What makes him a champion is his willingness to listen advice from other experienced players and his coach. It's not ego that makes champions be champions. What makes these top players the way they are is their amplitude of their tool kit of abilities and play styles. Wei is simply an exceptional dedicated player.
He's not a champion for god's sake. I respect LCW's as a player but he is by no means a champion. He never wins a world championship and an olympic gold.

You think LCW is a true champion just because he held the longest no 1 while Lin Dan, who achieves a DOUBLE GRAND SLAM, is not? Let me remind you something. LCW could be the longest no 1 player because Lin Dan didn't bother playing every tournament out there. Badminton is one of the few sports where the no 2 always beat the no 1 (so ironic lol).
