Context is important - I'm 36 years old and when I walk into a corner store and see Sprite I think to myself "Grant Hill drinks Sprite?" hahah ....I love that commercial.
I can bet a large majority of us in the comments who remember this commercial from our childhood are now between the ages of 35-44 years of age. I'm 38 right now and this commercial was on every single day when I was in Highschool.
I’m 45 years old. I stayed in Seattle for summer when I was in college. The TV commercial played all the time and the slogan “Grant Hill drinks Sprit” became part of my best memory of the summer.
I am of same age, played Basketball in collage in India. This commercial proved all other commercials wrong. I started playing again last year after I moved to Germany, infact I play better now as I am much stronger but lack the speed, stamina and flexibility of youth. Do you still play?
Man, pretty great video quality for such an old commercial (not to mention, this was uploaded in 2009, even most of the Vevo videos back then only went up as high as 480p, which is what this one is), and although it was uploaded in '09, the commercial is probably from '95!
Sprite knows its a damn good beverage. No frills. They hire spokes people probably just to write it off on its taxes. But they straight up tell you its delicious
@Igbo Thunder Grant Hill won't have the accomplishments like James but he had a sick cross-over and a quick first step every time. And it looked so unfair for the guy guarding him everytime.
Grant Hill was an amazing athlete and NBA player. That is.. until he was endorsed by Sprite and seemed to almost be cursed and riddled with knee injuries for the rest of his career.
