I forgot how much of an impression this almost 20 year old set has had on me. I literally referenced a joke from it today and I can still recite the "pasties by ginster" bit from memory. Legend haha
@@bigdaddy4069 lool so true. They are flaring though. Poor Lee. You get to hide your bootcut days away, his will be egrained in algorythms. maybe theyre due a come back...anyone?
For the last 5-6 minutes: I'm pretty certain Lee had made a bet before that gig that we would walk over every square inch of the stage in 5 minutes while doing his bit.
I watched him in the audience of They Think its All Over.... and he's genuinely one of the wittiest comedians around. As anyone who watches would I lie to you knows!
i never realised lee was quite so physical with his comedy.i thought he only really did quick wit. i started by only really ever seeing lee on would i lie to you, when most of the time hes behind the desk. then i discovered not going out, which is witty but also has quite a bit of physical comedy in the form of prattfalls by lee . later on i found out hes wary of prattfalls as he broke his ribs in a panto from pratfalling on a tower of loo roll so i watched it (whilst i was watching this i remembered he did a prattfall on wilty, when jennifer saunders allegedly walked into people walking with their phone, where he ended up bumping into the desk and crashing to the floor), it was really funny, so i decided to find some of his scripted comedy and came across this (thanks NANO VISION TV for posting), where he falls over and does all the dancing and stuff (that bit about the cat cleaning itself and the slow motion part where he was hitting himself with the mic had me in tears too). dont know how he does it, hes just so funny--witty and physically!
Thanks for posting. I think its missing the bit with the part where the girls scream at him 'bit disappointed you didn't talk about your dead nan' which was f'kin amazing
@@MG-me5fe there's a difference between handing out sugar cubes to kids dressed in bedsheets and sticks compared to redecorating an entire street with Halloween tat.
Probably wonder why anyone cares enough to comment on a comment made over a year ago but his stand up is mint. Don't get me wrong on TV shows he's definitely a 10/10 but his stand up isn't that far behind
@@jamespicksley5781 Mmm Really , well firstly I'm not the type to outraged or triggered like yourself . have you looked at the state of comedy these days . Now that is a load of Bollocks . Fortunately we have RU-vid to remind us of the best of times. But dont worry James you enjoy what the BBc have to offer
@@flexwinggpipi I havent watched the BBC for a long time, nor am I outraged in any way. Theres plenty of fine comedy out there and there's absolutely nothing in this set that wouldn't be allowed today. Live at the Apollo was also shown on BBC channels. So instead of pretending there's some censorship on comedy that genuinely doesn't exist, stop making up imagined things to cry about.
@@jamespicksley5781 your clearly living on a different planet or maybe your woke mind chooses not to notice. Anyway keep up snowflake, I didn't say you were outraged (even though you are) you said I was remember. Haven't you got to prepare for somewhere .
12:22 he used that in S1 E1 of Not Going Out 13:23 he used that in S2 E5 14:25 he used that in S1 E3 17:47 he used that in S2 E5 I love that he reuses his jokes
That's just how he talks. He speaks really fast. He tried to be calmer now but still speaking that fast. Probably he had so much things in his mind and his mouth can keep up.
@@imbatman2868 yes. You pay to watch a film and it’s the same film when it comes out on dvd. You pay to watch a play, it’s going to be the same play if you watch it again. Comics is a stage act, lee Mack is a comic who follows script closely and that’s ok.
I made it to 1:51. I only watched it to prove to myself why I don't like lee mack. It was as horrifying and as nauseating as I'd thought it would be. R.I.P comedy.
@Thomas Godbert Kevin Bridges, Micky Flanagan, Paul Foot, Stewart Francis. And would I lie to you's best guest is the brilliant Bob Mortimer. James Acaster is good too.
