This singing white rasta dude looks like a total clown, but this must be the best live band Perry has ever played with (at least since he toured with the Dub Syndicate at the very beginning of the 1990's): what an incredible live sound! The Black Ark comes alive!!

@@audleyjohnson9048 Probably you should try to read a bit more carefully before giving such ridiculous comments: i said "the best LIVE band, at least since he toured with the dub syndicate in the early 90's". I know what Perry did before, but at the peak of his career (say, 1969-1979) he never performed live gigs himself.
Amazing that Lee Perry, as a young man, created all this music. His hardcore fans follow him and indulge him because they know he's a genius, but they have to tolerate him as he drinks and struts around the stage muttering gibberish. Right now, he is merely a celebrity, an icon, if you will. But, it is the MUSIC that survives the mind that has clearly lost it. Perhaps, that is a true testament to his genius that his creation sounds fresher than him 40 years later.
This is just a man who's done a lot of acid lol he hasn't lost it he is just playing the part now that he is old. What better way to get away with anything than playing the part as the crazy old man ;)
I shook Lee Perry's hand in Vicor Street Dublin, he was in his techno stage, I was pilled up to my eye balls what a gig, so I went out side when he finished, to cool down, and there he was. We shook hands I told him how much I enjoyed the gig, his woman came out and they got into the Limo, My Lee Perry story.
@@ibycusbi2026 Just watching a documentary now, I don't think the world will ever realise what a talent he was? He created dub, crying babies, croaking lizards all mixed in, everything, he used to use 60's tv shows and mix them up. Just nut job reggae. I gave all my records to my son, and I want him to get the last Super Ape album, coz we have the other two. Hahaha, peace and love man, where ever you are, keep faith.
This is awesome Godly music. Thanks for sharing. God bless you! I heard the freemason-Song first time today. This is so brave, my God. He is risking his life, but his trust and protection from en in the Most High Power is so big, that his Ministers from Heaven stirr all the evil forces away. Lee Perry is a holy man, because he listens to God, the Creator. Also special Salutations for the 2 Horn,s man in the ,,iron shirt-Song,,! Selah!
Amazing that Perry started with Duke Reid in the early 60s. Reid was a large, gruff, violent man, a retired policeman who carried a pistol with him and used to scare the crap out of all the musicians back then. Perry said that while it is true that Reid would not shoot you, he will pistol whip you, or fire two shots near you to scare the crap out of you. Yet, according to Perry's biographer, Harold Katz, Reid was deathly afraid of Perry because Perry was different from the rest of the Kingston crowd, as he came from deep in the country, and he was a wizened little man who had these intense eyes that Reid feared had evil in them. So, Reid always steered clear of Perry and was rather happy when Perry left to join his rival, Coxsone Dodd.
he listenings of my friends knows,..Sunshine Lives..!even when I&I no See,aslong as thy Heart beats..Greetings @2 also 2the Mman Himselves ,..Scratching Perrys
🌍🤣🤣🤣👍👏👊 MOTHERS 💘 Bigup 👊 LEE PERRY on this big track sweet mix ❤🧡💚🖤🎵🎵🎵 Blessed ls The Almighty Love An Mercy 2 Wards I An I 👏 🎵🎵🎵 Up Up Positive Energy ❤🖤💚🎵🎵🎵
It's understandable, See! Reggae Dub Style has to get used to. Lots of freestyle vocals may deceive a few! It takes an initiated to sing offbeat while staying on the beat; perhaps, the opposite of Steady Rock, Love Rock and do forth. Peace!
