Lee priest lives locally in my area. I live in the Hunter valley NSW Australia. I met him at my local gym and was able to have a great conversation at 6:00am. We had a photo together. He's a local legend.
I see so many in the gym focused on moving the weight. When I stopped focusing on the weight and started focusing on feeling the muscle working, exhausting it, controlling the rep,,,, that’s when I started to see progress. This channel and LEE taking time to tell it how it is are the main factors for improvement and motivation!
You guys and your "feeling" the weight. The biggest dude I ever saw in my life told me "I don't give a fuck if you can feel the weight, Just move big weights and increase your loads regularly" Best advice ever. After that I didn't even once give a shit about a mind muscle connection. Now my back is huge.
@@exwifeschewtoy5516 yeah, I think for warm ups keeping an internal focus is fine, feeling the muscle and whatnot, but for actual work sets I think it's more important to keep an external focus, worrying about "feeling" the muscles on your work sets I think its just going to hinder your ability to move weights.

With enough calories & some gear the hi rep pump will build as much or more. Some never lift real heavy to get big. Look at prisoners with little or no weights. Some of them get big but not necessarily real strong.
I'm exactly the same I liked my hands really close but you get wrist and elbow pain after a while of doing that . Now I used a slightly wider grip and try focus on the triceps. Worse thing about the gym is all the stupid little injuries you get

Really appreciate the information. Appreciated your comment that your bench is delt and tri dominant. I feel the same. I still like flat bench but just have been going with narrow grip and count as tri and delt work. I never thought to go so heavy with an EZ grip bar. Thanks for that idea as well. For chest dumbbells incline and cable move seem to work great for me. Of course all based on what works for you.

You'd be surprised how many big tuff looking guys like this, are actually big sensitive Teddy bears! 😊😊Also, I grew up on a farm, and I work in the medical field. You'd also be surprised at how many of them are scared of spiders, and are sometimes the first to faint when it comes to needles!!!
I do 5 sets 15 reps with 100Kg just like you keeping elbows close to my body and stoping a couple of inches above my chest to keep a constant tension...any comments please thank you brother.
