Saw him last year at at a small outdoor venue, he was so drunk, he couldn't remember the words to one song. Still a good show, but come on, you're a professional, put on the show people are paying to see. I still think he had one of the greatest voices in country music and a hell of a guitar player.
This should say Lee Roy Parnell feat Trisha yearwood. This is proof that Texas and Georgia can make awesome music! This song is also proof that Lee Roy is capable of melting our hearts with his voice as his guitar virtuosity is of making our ears bleed.
So under-rated. Mr. Parnell, for some reason, has stayed low key but he is a pure guitar and lyrisist genius. I have been totally in love with him for over 20 years now.💕
Trisha Yearwood on the harmony vocals! The arrangement on this song combines members of Parnell's backing band (called "The Hot Licks") with popular studio musicians in the country music genre. Musicians on the song include Lynn Williams on drums, Michael Spriggs on acoustic guitar, James Pennebaker on electric guitar, Steve Mackey on bass, Kevin McKendrey on piano, Reese Wynans on organ, and Dan Dugmore on steel guitar, along with Parnell himself on the dobro.
T. Y. has one of the best female voices in Country, no doubt. However, she is no "Triple Threat" like Lee Roy... Few would turn down a chance to do a great song with Lee Roy, without question.
