Lee's Ultimate Nissan NV RTR 2017 

We've all seen millions of people -- we're here to see the van. Just put the people behind you when you're recording (since you're cutting their heads off, anyway), so we can see the van and the voices can describe what we're seeing.

The van is amazing, to bad the camera didn't show it. Example: @ 13:57 Lee is showing the galley but camera is doesn't not. Irritating.

Lee's build is the stuff dreams are made of. Thanks to Lee I bought the same induction cooktop and I absolutely love it. Thanks for sharing this video!

How bout actually pointing camera at what he is trying to show us Example overhead cabinets could not see above his waist. Lee you are a magician and artist. WOW!! I think this has to be one of the coolest, best thought out, best looking vans around. Including the commercially available vans.

You need to follow with your camera.. What do the upper cabinet look like?

I think this owner needs to do his own video. I haven’t seen much of his wonderful work and every view is slanted and to many people are talking at the same time and I am over 3/4 th the way through and I have yet seen a clear shot of anything. The first few minutes was distracting with a blue plaid cloth taking up almost half the screen. It is very difficult to watch this. I really would have loved to see a video of the inside and outside view and full screen shots of the furniture and cabinets. He talked about the venting system of the heater and pointed to certain objects, but we didn’t get to see what was being talked about. I think this would have been a cool van rebuild. Maybe next time.

Yeah the camera pointing was a little hinky but it's understandable when so much to take in and you actually having a similar Nissan van. It was good to see Lee's Gedigan Waegn a couple of years on and that it is still doing the business. Looking forward to seeing what he does with his trailer. I still think this build sets the bar for the DIY van. Your bunk set up would work well with his internal layout.

Please ask Lee to talk about his ceiling in his van. Would love to see his build videos. Lee could even just hold the pictures of the build and talk about each aspect. Shoot into video. Keep it simple. Lee thanks. Look forward to learning from your expertise.

I've seen Lee's rig on Enigmatic Nomadic. Nice to get another look at his work. I wish you would've let him elaborate more on the Propex heater, e.g. power consumption etc.

this is the best conversion I have seen. I wonder how far back the reversed passenger seat can be reclined. Can it recline so far back that it can be another sleeping space in a spot? Any way to make the bed convertible into a wider bed, similar to a queen, when needed? Lee seems like a really great guy. The only thing I would have done differently is to have the wood accents rather than the grey interior, but that is just a personal preference. Great work!

Great video. It would be brilliant if you could be bothered to point the camera at something else than the person's waist. I know that would be labour intensive and require attention, but ... Well, just saying.

awning panels by look of it

got seasick after watching video...:) I've been researching various vehicles for about a year that would convert well to a 4x4 van with high roof. Last week or so decided on the NV platform cargo truck. Yes I know it's not awd or 4wd. However it is built on the Nissan Titan chassis ( a truck chassis) and can be converted to look like factory Titan 4x4 for $12K-15K. Yes this is expensive BUT this would be a work vehicle for me (carpentry) and a recreational so worth the extra cost. I already own a 4x4 pickup and am limited seriously in terms of recreational activity. This van is awesome set up. I'd like to know how his traveling build went? I've also thought of traveling and working at same time. At 13:02 he describes fabrication of cabinetry with paintable epoxy to seal.

Great subject, but only a professional filmmaker could completely miss illustrating ANY of the cited and referenced heater components! But hey, the van has a bed....;-)

Still one of the best van builds out there! Lee, please answer these questions: 1. What is your electric bike brand and model? Heavy? Range? 2. Exterior room tent attaches to awning? That is very cool. I'd love to get some info on that. 3. I need an RV exterior paint I can roller brush on with a slight texture. Your epoxy cabinet paint looks good. Can this be used on exterior and do you have a name for brand and type? Sherwin Williams or Dunn Edwards store? I'm going nuts trying to find a high quality exterior paint for both my car and RV. It has to be weatherproof, durable, roller brushable, easy prep, tintable for custom color. Durabak is a polyurethane bedliner paint I had my sights on but short working time and no custom tints only solid ugly colors. Please do share. I'm in Bay area. If you are heading this way, feel free to let me know and I can offer you a nice hot shower and good food in return for some advice on electrical setup.

Lee, Put some sort of cap over those switches so kids don't see them right away. You could fabricate a cover that is possibly hinged and then you lift it and then access the switches. That thought came to me immedidately watching your issue with the switches.
