@bunterx So very true. A bit like Russian Roulette. Worst of all they were borrowing big time from the Americans at very bad interest rates and in the end couldn't service the repayments. As a Liverpool supporter I hope it isn't too long before Leeds Is back at in its rightful position - in the Premier League and like Liverpool is competing for a position in Europe - Good Luck

10 years later and were still counting the cost How ridsdale sleeps at night i dont know a great club nearly ruined buy this joker he knew that he was gambling the whole future of the club on champions league football a gamble that you should never take Leeds were in a great position in the late 90,s consistently in the top 8 with the massive support they have it would only have been a matter of time b4 rich owners took the club to an even higher level.. :-(

O'leary wasnt the best manager leeds had because he never won a bean - obviously it was Don Revie - who won the title twice, FA Cup, League Cup and Fairs Cup twice. Oleary spent a lot of money and won nothing. In that respect he was a failure and deserved to go. The reason Leeds fell into the lower divisions was a result of overspending in the Oleary (and Venebals)/Ridsdale era. Ridsdale and OLeary bankrupted Leeds and almost wiped them off the face of football with arrogant overspending.

Terry's tenure was disappointing because you had bankrupted your club and sold most of his players. I'm an Arsenal fan saying that. Ridsdale was the only man who fucked the club.
