Great news for Leeds. We need investment and to bring in a big worldwide sponsor like this is amazing. Most premier clubs don’t even have a decent sponsor 😅

Instead of worrying about previous history, this could be some of the best future history to happen to Leeds in recent years. 5 years time we could be laughing about this because of the success it has brought, let’s just wait and see.

I watched my first Leeds game in 1958, so I understand the history and the love of the fans. Do I want us to be back to our best? Absolutely. Would I prefer Middle East oil money or some Far Eastern businessman I've never heard of? Absolutely not...... I don't love Red Bull.......but I love my team enough to want them back to the top, and I believe this is the way we can do it, with the right kind of help and support.

The 49s and Red Bull can put as much money in as they want but if Farke cant pick a team or adjust his tactics during a game or make sensible substitutions it wont make the slightest bit of difference and by Christmas when they realise this it will be too late .

Orta wanted us to be Red Bull Leeds, but he's long gone now. And with the amount of money RB got out of him we should be glad they're onboard as they're very savvy and well run.

In my opinion, it is advantageous. The more financial resources are available, the stronger the team becomes. Those bygone days are now a distant memory.

You look at clubs in prem who have been there for 6-7 years minimum, palace going to be their 11th consecutive season next year !we are very far behind these clubs at moment. 3 years ago we had everything to build on and those 3 stooges fucked everything up, and one of them is still at the club. I believe that the whole club name changes and such was banned by the FA after the whole MK dons/Wimbledon thing. Like when hull owner wmted to change name to Hull Tigers the fa said no. so i dont think there is much to worry about in that way.

I have been a fan since 1997. This is a decision that makes a good shirt sponsor and with the money red bull will invest in the club is what we need. As long as we dont become Red bull Leeds. Understand that some fans dont like this but if we wanna get back to glory and the PL we need this we really do. I love the club more than anything. Conner it's not possible for RED Bull too re, name the club name or stadium. They are is a realistic possibility of the new stand being calling red bull stand. That's all they can do. Lets face it.....Hull weren't allowed to change their name so if RedBull tried to do that with Leeds at any point when they might have a majority stake then that wouldn't be allowed either. so technically they could only possibly re-brand the stadium...which as long as Elland Road is still in there then i think most fans would come to accept it...lets be honest...it would still just be Elland Road to all us fans so what difference would it make.

For me this is fantastic news for the long term future, but the biggest plus is FFFP rules as we can now do what Man City did and have cash pumped in as REVENUE from sponsorship, making it impossible to breach FFFP rules

There are pros and cons to this.... The obvious con is the possibility of us becoming RB Leeds. The pros far out weigh that atm, the financial investment and stability, the prospect of investment into the ground/ new stadium. We have a direct route into their current clubs players, scouting etc. I know aaranson came from them but that was orta and bielsa. We should be able to pick up good quality players to buy and loan through their network. For me this is a smart move by paraag, the extra investment by RB, the long term sponsorship arrangement has to be a good thing, im sure their sponsorship value must be considerably more than boxt/ flamingo land.

I think the issue is that the 49ers have been quite clear that they would like to get leeds to 1B valuation then flip it and with Red bull been at the table now, surely puts them in the conversation when/if we become available

The obvious thing here is... The owners obviously have been working hard and have targets to meet, they will only say so much, as they know, some fans will take it too far. What is great, nobody knew about this, like they did with some transfers last season, until the deal is done !! Where are these great sources !! As i mentioned last night, great interview from the owner, i like the start and end of season brief that he does. Others agree, however, if things are not going as some fans wish, the same people will be out saying, 'where are the owners, why are they not speaking to the fans' !!! Laughable. A bit like when the team go on a long unbeaten run, they are the best team and players in the league, then when we lose, its the managers fault, and never hear the end of it !! I am happy RB are not going to take us over.. it is not their model. The sports teams they own are ones that they have bought cheap RB Leipzig were a 5th division side, and it was like RB buying Osset Town, investing millions and turning them into RB Wakefield. Red Bull racing and Toro Rosso were the Jaguar team that Ford owned and wanted rid of and Minadi, a minor team going nowhere. As foreign owners go, I am happy with 49ers being benign and beneficial and much more preferable to Middle eastern owners and much better than most of the owners we have had for the last 30 years. Look at wikipedia for more info on RB and how they operate, and at Leeds's history. To be honest, too many fans are dont look at the detail. I don’t understand what is in it for Red Bull if it isn’t a full takeover. They don’t need to do shirt sponsorship. Also what point is there in them having a small % in us? The only thing that makes sense is that RB are doing what they do time and time again, which is to invest small and build big to takeover. Thats their mode. I don’t think you or 99.9% of people have any understanding of what’s at play regarding asset allocation etc from these corporations, the financial system is about to change in a way most don’t understand and having real assets instead of debt is what’s happening. We are about to move back to an asset backed system so corporations especially banks need by law, have to own real assets to be able to trade. It takes minimal research away from the main stream media to see what’s going on across the fractional banking Fiat system

Why buy a minority stake if you’re not interested in a bigger share down the line. I think they’re the 49ers exit strategy in a few years time. As long as they don’t change our name, colours or stadium name then I don’t mind. But I think we need to be cautious

The way that Red Bull have treated Salzburg and then basically created Leipzig without seeing fans as anything more than passive consumers is a giant worry. They don't care about breaking a fan base. They did it in their home City and lost all their loyal fans who reformed a new club. This is the first year that RB Salzburg haven't won anything in Austria and the club looks bleak and soulless. With trophies they could at least paper over the cracks. Give it five years leeds will be Rothwell Borough Leeds and wearing Red and Blue.
