Used to go with united to leeds in the early - mid 90’s. Great days out. The threat of violence never far away. The turns out and the pure hatred you had for us was mad, baffling, we embraced it all the same and gave as good as we got.
As I neutral I don't understand Leeds at all. They're a big club and an iconic club. I just don't understand why they are trapped in this limbo of Championship football. Why hasn't a billionaire investor come in and done what others have done with clubs like Newcastle, Spurs and City? And why have smaller clubs like Sunderland, Leicester and Southampton got newer stadiums? Come on Leeds backers, get your finger out.
@@historyoffootball87.. You're missing the point. Yes you're right, Sunderland isn't a particularly small club, with great home gates and well-supported regionally. But they don't have the national and whatsmore, International fanbase that Leeds United have. Most towns and cities in Britain have Leeds United supporters clubs and its the same around the globe. I'd certainly say that Leeds International fanbase is up there with the Premier Leagues Top Six.
