If Leetu needed to be secreted away from the ruinous powers, then Erda certainly didn't know; she sent him with Jon G. and Oll Pius to face them (and potentially kill either Horus or the Emperor, they weren't sure which at the outset). Then, when the Emperor encountered the three on the Vengeful Spirit, he didn't order Leetu away from the confrontation with Horus (in the same room where the False Four had assembled to watch their duel). At one point, Horus tosses Leetu against the boot of Khorne, who looks at Leetu disinterestedly before looking back at the Emperor and Horus. Leetu seems to have wandered through the warp after that, before re-appearing when Valdor and Dorne find the Emperor's body. Certainly, Leetu is significant, but in a wild card sort of way. He even argues with the Emperor on Oll's side, to convince him not to become The Dark King... the Emperor supposedly knew he needed to be convinced, and manipulated them all into reminding him? So LE2 is really the Emp's walking post-it note: "remind me in a thousand years - don't become a 5th chaos god"
That is something I should have said. If this all were true, and Erda knew about Leetu significance to The Emperor, she likely wouldn't have thrown him straight into the arms of Chaos by sending him off with John Grammaticus. Leetu definitely has more to his story, and hopefully with The Horus Heresy over, they'll cover more of it.
Possibly in a way. He is mainly meant to be a template for the first Astartes, though his creation is unique. He possibly could have also been a Primarch blueprint aswell, though an extremely early version. No gene-seeds. Just The Emperor's and Erda's genestock.
I don’t think Leetu is actually a space marine at all, I think he’s a true born son of the Emperor and Erda which would make him a extremely attractive candidate for Cawls great work

Eh considering the fact that alpha primus contains the dna of Belisarius cawl as well as how Belisarius refers to alpha primus as his son, completely destroys this theory for me
Doesn't Alpharius have a suit of grey armour much like Leetu and Alpha Primus? I've wondered about it for a long time, and yet to see it connect to anything.

I love your theory but it wasnt Leetu who figured out about putting the Emperor on the throne it was Rogal Dorne. It was Leety however whi came up with the idea of finding the Emperors Tarot cards in the rubble.
You are absolutely correct, defintiely an oversight on my part. I might have gotten too wrapped up in Leetu's insistance that the cards are The Emperor communicating with them, I completely forgot that Dorn was the one to connected the dots.
What better way for fans to experience the death of Erebus, than in a game playing the character who kills him? Yes, this is how I would indeed like to see things play out.

One more mistake, When an Engineer is making "prototype", it doesn't mean at all that it will be inferior to the production version, on the contrary,, such a perfectionist as Cawl would try to throw into the prototype all the desired features he possibly could, just to see what sticks up, what works, what's not, where incompatibilities are, what will be feasible for mass-production, and so on.
I don't think at any moment I say that Leetu and Primus are inferior due to being Prototypes. Stating that they are Prototypes is one of the reasons I point them out as special, but mostly I mention it to connect the two characters. Sure it's a weak connection, but they are two very unique Space Marines in a setting filled with Astartes.
In genefather they dive a little more into why alpha primus is in constant pain, his soul is a piecemeal thing that doesn't fit right with his body. Or that was my understanding

I loved Alpha Primus's story in genefather it quite literally made me cry. I will say i do not think Primis and Leetu are one in the same because they really hammered in the emotion Cawl had for Primus in the novel. It would just waste the core of the book. That said what the fuck happened with Leetu (a being made by the Emperor much like Valdor)? I also wouldnt be heartbroken if he was but damn genefather was so good i hope it doesnt erase it
I don't blame you for not wanting this to be true. Completely agree that Genefather touched on some more heartfelt moments that is rare to see in 40k. Yeah, Leetu just being out there without us knowing anything about him is something I'd like to see corrected at somepoint. To me, he is too intriguing a character to just leave like that.

@InquisitorJoshua yep people love doing that and will say some pretty crappy stuff... but it's almost like they don't mean harm by it. Like they're just venting for what is effecting them away from the internet. Also some people really live for the moment where they might be able to say "I told ya so." Which is like "Ok, that's fine... where you expecting a cash prize or something?" Humans are like bumbling toddlers who just bump through their surroundings and unfortunately when we become adults we still clumsily bumble around hurting our surroundings with the slightest understanding of what we have done, if we even register it at all... but it's much more of a dangerous disaster than when we where actual toddlers. We are part of an insane, destructive, selfish, unpredictable, and fascinating species who comes together and can accomplish and conquer just about anything we put our minds to. We are capable of such selfless and genuinely good things and will always conquer anything that threatens our species but all this will never overshadow the negative. Have a good day my friend.

I'm all about the mad and crazy theories! True, though in the time between seeing Leetu and Alpha Primus, Cawl could have really done a number on him with all those extra "gifts". If I'm right (which I doubt), Alpha Primus may not even be aware he was previously Leetu! Glad to have you on board!
Cawl is an Engineer, He made Primus as a prototype. To develop the methodology for making Primaris Marines from regular Joe-Shmoes. It makes Zero sense for him to use Anything else but regular baseline human for that purpose. Cawl could have been in possession of Leetu's genes though, so Primus might be based on that, at least partially, if that's the case, BUT Primus was made from regular human, not from Leetu. 100%
With how Firstborn Astartes are able to be upgraded through the Rubicon Primaris, it makes sense to think that Cawl would have had this process also in mind, and so these Prototypes would have also been from Firstborns. Primus could very well have been a Firstborn Primaris Prototype. And as I mentioned, if Cawl really wanted to push the limits of these, Leetu, an Astartes with a direct link to The Emperor and Erda would be an ideal choice for cramming all those Gene-seeds in.
@inquisitorJoshua Leetu’s pragmatic indifference to anything is very similar to Alpha Primus’ and eerily similar to the Custodians. Obviously he’s not a Custodian but I wonder if Leetu could be more like a Custodian at the genetic level. And obviously Custodians are Psychers but they still have powerful souls and can be possessed by the Emeperor like puppets even before he became a God
I reckon that could well be possible. Leetu was made before the gene-seed development, or just not given it. He very much could have been a prototype of a more standard Custodes. Hopefully we get more of Leetu in future.
Could the twin-headed eagle be a warp representation of the Imperium itself? With trillions of people believing not just in The Emperor, but in The Imperium as well. Enough to give it manifestation in the warp? Sort of like the human Tau's being of unbelief.
This could be an interesting developement. Whether The Emperor likes it or not, he is viewed as a God by the majority of the Imperium, and that believe alone can do some powerful and dangerous stuff.
I feel like leetu becomes a grey knight as after the siege he is just shown going with dorn and friends while pollen hangs back and if anything the raven guard dude is left with the Magna Carta and possibly used as a template? Or just used leetus genetics
A lot of people do think that he has something to do with the Grey Knights, though it would have to be once they are already established. His genetics would likely be very valuable for any that want to study him, and Grey Knights over many would be able to get access.
As far as I am aware, Messinius isn't a Psyker at all. He was the Master of Recruits for the White Consuls. Tigurius is likely busy pissing off The Tyranid Hive mind. Messinius is more of a mentor and educator.

whilst i am a proponent of the star child theory, i do think that he cannot be astarte level power as that would make him too op. star child needs to be a physical child of immense 'goodness' that positively affects those around him otherwise you are essnetially inserting an op character in the 40k universe
I like this. Fighting fire with fire is the only concept of conflict the galaxy knows. Though the change in the Imperium would be dramatic, and I'd even imagine it could lead to an enitely new civil war. Would The Emperor/Star Child start to encourage diplomacy with Xeno races? I imagine there are many powerful people within the Imperium that would be completely opposed to that. Their way of life, is based on War. If it profits them, they will continue to act as they were. I would certainly like to see a more enlightened, patient Emperor return if he does. It would be the kind of thing that could shake up the setting.
Leetu aka le 2 is obviously the second prototype and alpha is 1 so the first prototype. Le 1 in the miniature line is an ork so maybe big e used some orc DNA😂
@@InquisitorJoshua well the orks are a artificially created race along with the eldar by the great old ones so it would make sense for big e to capture or otherwise coax that knowledge from a surviving member he keeps locked up in the black cells under the palace or he is a great old one in disguise.

This is a very good point. And Bile never did want to kill Primus. So it makes sense he'd do it with the intend to keep him alive. Chances are he would have taken him if Cawl didn't show up.
A very popular theory, though the origin of his name comes from LE2, the Space Marine miniature released by Games Workshop, and was one of the first Space Marine figures released. I think for a good while, we will hear very little about the true fate of the Lost Legions. It's a massive mystery that gives 40k a lot of unknowns, which is one of the things I love about it. Though who knows, maybe Alpha Primus does have their gene-seed, and we could learn a little bit more about them through him.

I believe Abbnet mentioned it in an interview, though I'm a little in the same boat as yourself, as I am yet to find that interview. It comes up a lot in conversations around Leetu, and the general concensus seems to be this.

Oh man, I really like this. Especially the connection to the French territory. Each Primarch lands on a planet that seems to have some form of Terra/Earth theme, be it Egypt, Rome, Mongolia. It's not a stretch to think that Leetu had French influence in his design, at least if he were the 2nd Primarch. It is also a running theme that Primarchs, though psykick beings, don't always realise they are actually Psykick. Leetu could be the same. Hmm, I could really go crazy on a theory video about this XD

It just needs to be said...alpha hasnt been woth cawl for 10,000 years if that was true hed of been made in 31M which we know isnt the case. Cawl soent thousands of years trying to make the primaris.
Many of the Primaris Marines currently active were taken as boys back when Guilliman tasked Cawl with creating the Primaris. Post Heresy, while Guilliman was still active. Guilliman states as such in the exerpt I use from Avenging Son 13:19. When saying "The Imperium they were born into is gone", he is referencing the dramatic change from a Secular Imperium to the current state of religious zeal that humanity is in now. I could be mistaken, though I don't think that was meant to be subtle, so I expect this is correct. As Alpha Primus is the "first" (Prototype) Primaris Marine, he very likely would have been from that pool of subjects. Alpha Primus may not have been actively working for Cawl for 10,000 years, but the case for him having been around in a time period close to when Leetu was around still holds water.
Originally he was 10th Company Captain of the White Consuls, but was place in charge of the new Primaris Marines when Cawl delivered them to Guilliman. He isn't a big character, but his opinion carries weight.

Fun fact. The terminus decree is a last resort for the emperor, if he should die, the terminus decree shall be released killing all space marines and primarchs. It cant be done now due to one thing holding it back. It attacks beings with a geneseed. And the emperor has a geneseed. His geneseed was used to make the grey knights. Meaning the emperor is a space marine.... Im not budging on this!
No, he isn't. Leetu doesn't demonstrate psychic powers. He isn't anywhere near as powerful. Cawl made Alpha Primus, Leetu is from the Astartes project...
This also seems to imply that there could've/could even be other like him wondering around the Galaxy. It would easy to think that he was the only survivor of these prototype marines, and leave it at that. But if there are more?

I disagree with the theory but cawl certainly could have used leetu as the genetic template for alpha Primus. I want both more leetu and more alpha Primus. They are both uniquely cool

Not really a big deal, but Erda wasn't manipulated. She was just trying to create balance. It was just very convenient for chaos. I think Erda understood the warp and the powers in it better than the emperor did. Great video and I like the theory.

Oh, I see what you are saying. In relation to gene-seed, there are only 20 gene-seeds. Alpharius and Omegon, as far as we are aware, do not have two different types of gene-seed. Maybe saying all 20 Primarchs isn't technically correct, but within the context, I believe it is reasonable.
Alpha Primus and Leetoo are 2 different beings. Leetoo makes it clear he came from The Emperor and Erda.... Alpha Primus makes it clear Cawl made him from Cawls own genetic material.
