Left 4 Dead is one of my favourite Xbox 360 era games so it's only right I finish off the achievements I never could back in 2008. It is just as good as I remember.
How come you never invited him back? I was hoping for a very dramatic plot twist to where you two are about to die and Magic Bullet joins to save you two
So happy to see you making a video on this amazing game. L4D1 and L4D2 are easily some of my favorite games of all time. They've provided countless hours of fun and stress.
I was just thinking about playing this on local multiplayer with my friends back then. I remember we would all get SILENT as soon as someone heard a witch so the people playing could hear. It was so intense 😂
At 4:54, it's not infinitely spawning. There's several large waves of them, but they will eventually end. The best spot for that event for anyone wondering, is blowing up the gas pumps, climbing up the rubble, and there's a closet with only one entrance you can hold out in. L4D2 is probably different, I don't remember the changes made there.
yeah, it may feel like an infinite horde, because when you are just staying there to fend off the hordes, sometimes the director will get mad and send another horde that is unrelated to the crescendo event because the director thinks "they are not progressing" , which makes you go "is this infinite hordes?"
Listening to your stories of how you and a friend went through the game on the last level of difficulty is incredibly interesting! I even like this idea, the most difficult challenges together with your friends bring you and your friend very much closer! It's like you're going through hell together!
We were saying we don't know how you managed to survive blood harvest with all the bots alive 🤣 Love your vids and congrats on the crazy growth, well deserved!
L4D 1 and 2 hold such great memories for me. Playing on the 360 I jumped into a group with this lovely couple that I became friends with, so many hours spent playing all kinds of stuff together.
I'm basically JforJack but instead of going back and getting achievements from old games... I'm going back and playing game franchises I never played when I was younger. The first game franchise I got started on was... MASS EFFECT. jesus christ what a trio of games, I genuinely loved it so much I'm excited for the new one. Crysis, a weird sci fi game I genuinely enjoyed... weird as hell at times but fun as f***. The list now is this. Bioshock, all of them. The witcher, all of them. Morrowind and oblivion if I can. Left for dead the original one. Portal 1 and 2. That's it so far. My goal as a mid was to at some point reach 100k gamerscore. I forget where I'm at but I'm close... I literally 100% just cause 2, 3 and 4 because I was bored and that unfortunately didn't register for 2 because that game had bugs.
If you want to go really old school I'd reccomend adding Syphon Filter to your list. At least the first three as they are considered the "real trilogy" and the ones afterwards were seen as just filler.
I wish i had friends like you, someone who actually wants to try and do this type of random stuff, most folk will find it boring, or not fun, but this is right up my alley. what i meant is play left 4 dead 1 and doing these achievements, if your on PC not sure about console, you choose L4D2 instead of L4D1 cause after the "The Last Stand" update for l4d2 and the million bug fixes that came with that update, L4D2 is the definitive version for both L4D1 & 2 maps.
Sick videos mate, I think I've watched all of your achievement series and I'm loving it, once you (eventually) get through all your achievements on games you played, I'd enjoy watching you get all achievements on other games you may not have played back in the day but always wanted to, keep up the great work!
as for the Tank dying randomly.. i believe that if the Tank spawns and can not see you/reach you the moment he spawns, the Tank just stands still and eventually dies. this type of cheese is also used in L4D2 speedruns for the finals
I would love to see you do a similar thing but with Left 4 Dead 2. Love your commentary on each map and hearing your experiences. Brings back great memories of simpler times. **EDIT** I just made it to the end of the video where you said you'll be doing this for Left 4 Dead 2. I'ma subscribe with that bell on so I don't miss it. Keep up the great content!
Here's a fun fact about the tank whenever there's a player in versus controlling the tank if the tank do not attack they will lose control except if AI tank does not attack anybody game kills them in order to save up aren't using too much disk space and just so they don't annoy you with the music
All of the spots you guys camped in in all the Campaigns, gave me SUCH nostalgia kicks. Especially the bathroom at the Boat House finale. In Blood Harvest, we used to camp in the living room - that always worked for us hahah. Great times. L4D1 is one of my all time favourite games.
I'm addicted to videos like this. I've started making some myself, and after seeing Snam and you both do L4D, I'm SO tempted. I bought the DLCs I was missing the other day as they were being delisted and I basically just have Expert on L4D and L4D2 to do, but I'm not sure I'm as brave as you guys.
sorry just saw this comment was held for review for some reason so didnt see it until now. you should deffo go for them! they're such good games.. but hard yes. L4D2 is probably going to take me quite some time to get done!
Oddly, when me and some friends did Expert, we found No Mercy to be the biggest pain in the ass, and I THINK Blood Harvest's finale was first try (if not a couple). From memory, our hold locations were: No Mercy - The roof of the building with the radio, up on the generator like things Death Toll - The dock Dead Air - The wide open area alongside the plane Blood Harvest - The bathroom at the top of the stairs
You're partially correct. The tank will die/despawn in 2 situations: Either it is too far from the survivors, or it is stuck. If it's stuck, or otherwise cannot path to any of the survivors, it will die pretty quickly, I think in around 10-15 seconds. If you run past it, and leave it far behind, then it will eventually time-out, I think this takes around a minute.
I remember back in 08 playing this game and man L4D 1&2 were some of the best games of all time. Basically a perfect game man, I wouldn’t be mad if they made another one to end the series
@@nottipack4385 "they" refers to valve. there were only like, 3 ex valve members out of many employees. b4b is a spiritual successor, but it's not good anyway :/
I know what you mean lol. I recently beat 3 of the 4 campaigns on Expert. I died several times and the bots often made it so much harder to get through because they would either save me too late or they wouldn’t go where I needless them during Crescendo Events and Finales.
I find one of the safest places to hold out on expert is in the kitchen on Blood Harvest's finale. you can also shoot an armchair to block the door which helps slow down the infected. Also you should just make a beeline for the farmhouse immediately after the horde starts in the cornfield, the horde ends when you reach the farm house. From what I know of Dead Air that crescendo is easy if you stand on the scaffolding close to the fire
The tank in both games has a rage meter, and in order to keep it up, he has to attack the sruvivors either by punching them, or throwing a rock at them If said meter runs out, the Tank dies The levels are also divided into "sections" in the code, meaning that SI will die if you get far enough from said area
the achievements for l4d2 on pc r insane. there r 101 and one of them requires u to help someone beat a campaign during a free weekend so it’s basically impossible to get. the infamous good guy nick achievement
Recently got L4D2 done. Didn’t have anyone to play with, and I didn’t want to find a group to do the 5 Expert campaigns, so I loaded up a Mutation called Last Man on Earth and chose Expert difficulty. This pits you against only special infected and you get one free “get out of a special lock” card I think as long as your health is high enough
As someone who runs this game regularly on pc still, it’s crazy to hear you guys completing no mercy on expert in 2 hrs lol. Glad you guys managed to push through tho! 🍻
here is something you might not have realized. in the first Left 4 Dead game and only the first one, when you set a Tank on fire, they get increased movement speed, which i think makes them either the same speed as a full health survivor, or makes them just ever so slightly faster. in Left 4 dead 2 however tanks no longer gain movement speed when set on fire :)
I remember when my friend helped me go through Dead Air on expert, we were huddled on top of the plane and he junoed down to early so I jumped down to help him out, got surrounded and downed and he escaped and got the achievement.
Actually the reason for the genocide being such a high number, is because I the hospital I think there is writing on the wall where someone states they killed 53,000+ zombies. So it's going along that writing.
Loved the video man :) Subscribed for your efforts. I have a special talent of being able to speed run Dead Centre Expert Solo and that's it....anything else even with a full stack we die :D
Gears of War 2 Not sure I can ever do a video on that though because I'm only missing super boring grindy achievements. (level 100 & Seriously 2.0) and thanks for the kind words!
Guess i did play too much of this, as it never occurred to me, that this might be a hard achiev, or the 50k is any real number of zombies. This game was a blast
Originally 100% L4D back in the day, was the first Xbox game I ever did it on, when the dlc achievements hit I put off completing those until a few weeks ago, happy to finally lock it down, some of the best early online gaming memories I have were on this game
Really proud of you boys dealing with this tough achievement! I remember doing this offline MYSELF but still got all 65 achievements. Anyway, go play Dead Rising, that game has great achievements!
I think the best spot on the finale in blood harvest is on top on the laundry machines in one of the bedrooms I think it’s the one closet to the bathroom it’s definitely a good spot because it was taken out in l4d2
Would love to see a video of you getting all the achievements in the Arkham games, I think they’re actually a pretty fun and easy time, except the challenge maps some of them took me forever
hey, thanks for the suggestion. those have absolutely crossed my mind! Currently working on mopping up a few other games that i have "nearly" finished. will certainly get to the arkham games though
So on the 3rd chapter, you can actually skip the crescendo event by going to the bottom floor and melee hitting the earache door until it breaks. In l4d2 it’s patched but still should work on l4d1
honestly i can only imagine how difficult blood harvest to do on expert if you have the campaign on left 4 dead 2 cause now you gotta deal with chargers, spitters, and jockeys as well, so sounds fun XD
Remember 5:49 because of what happened to my headphones once i heard this loud bang on l4d2 then the only thing I heard for the next minute was just horrible screeching and no audio from anything
I remember back than playing a ton of L4D and oh boy when i read that the hardest difficulty is -20hp per hit i didnt even attempt it. As a solo player i was getting hit like 5000 times per campaign.
