i've always been interested in the thermal stitch but couldn't find a lot of left handed tutorials on it so thank you! i have a lot of this sport weight yarn i wanted to make into a blanket but i wanted it to be thick, which is almost impossible with sport weight yarn and i didn't wanna double up so i'm definitely gonna try it with this stitch!
Thank you! I made a thermal potholder (I'm left handed) and I had an awful time holding the thing as I progressed since I ended up with the big chunk of finished work in my right hand and no way to hold the yarn. I'm wondering if I was doing it backwards. I'm so confused. lol
I'm not sure if you said in this video but the ch1 does not count as a stitch, but right? I'm gonna try this again but my stitch count should always be sthe same amount throughout, correct? Lol I will try again and use a stitch marker to mark the first stitch. I always lose that last chain to work into. This is an awesome technique. I will master this. Thanks for a great tutorial.
You are very welcome - yes the ch1 does not count as a stitch. The written pattern might help you, here is the link:- bellacococrochet.com/thermal-stitch/ :)
@@bellacococrochet I love this stitch. It's soft, stretchy and warm. Making a baby blanket with yarn in inventory. Keep in mind, because it's a double thickness, plan on twice as much yarn. I also love the mirror image lefty versions after so many frustrating years trying to learn new stitches.
The simplest way is to use a row counter (you can buy one or download a free app) or use a simple scrap of paper and a pencil; after you finish each row and turn your work you should note down one row 😊
Hate to be that person, but it's the wrong link in the description for "Right Handed version" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KPpVBkxd_WQ.html Guessing forgot to update link when moving it from one description box to the other heh
I think it's a good idea, it makes the videos accessible to right and left handed people without shooting an entirely different video :) as a left handed newbie I really appreciate the step by step videos! I'm not at the point where I can watch a right handed video and mirror it 😄
Some people just need something to complain about. No one but you apparently could care less how the left handed videos are made. If you dont like something, just move on and pass on commenting. I hope you find something that makes you happy one day.
