Jamaica will always be my happy place. I make sure I pass on the heritage to the children of Jamaican parents whom I'm friendly with and my nieces. They love to go to Jamaica when I'm coming because I take them all around. They love the cultural experiences which they don't get staying in a hotel.

Totally feel the same way. She and I have so much in common. Only live the first 20 years of my life in Jamaica, lived in NY for 40 yrs, come back to Ja EVERY chance I get, been here since Dec 5, will be here for 3 more weeks. This home, I’m at peace when I’m home in Jamaica

Delpratt family, all the success for the new year. I am a born Guyanese 🇬🇾 that grew up in Canada 🇨🇦. I am also business person that worked in Kingston 🇯🇲 for many years. My wife and I would drive in Kingston, to Mobay, Negril, west coast and never felt unsafe. We would go to night clubs and parties and never felt unsafe. We fell in love with the JA and we are in the process of building a house in the north coast (should be ready this year) and plan to retire in Jamaica in the near future. Keep up the great work!

What I find is that there are a lot of Jamaicans overseas, especially in New York where I live, they are very negative about the land of our birth ,🇯🇲🇯🇲. I'm living in New York this coming March 2024, will make 43 years, but jamaica is home. I now spend every December to March in Jamaica as I'm now retired going 6 years, and can't deal with Cold 🥶❄️ anymore. I'm watching this video from Boscobel, St. Mary. I have close to 4 decades in America and retiring in 7 years. My house is currently under construction in Jamaica and will be fully completed by summer or fall. My house will be one of the masterpieces built in central Jamaica, a modern home, Ghana style. I will be going back and forth for the next 7 years, and fully back home in 7 years. I can't wait!! The media here at home in the US plays a big part in spreading negativity about Jamaica. Many times whenever I see Jamaica featured on CNN or any other TV network it's nothing positive. It's as if they just wanna report negative stuff. If we wanna see positive stuff about Jamaica we gotta watch the travel channel or maybe one of our channels that focuses on food. On the other hand, some of the same reporters over here that are so quick to do negative articles on Jamaica ( yes, I'm aware that most times the network dictates what they should report) are the same ones taking trips to Jamaica to have a destination wedding, celebrating an event in their life or just simply to unwind and relax. Ironic right?🤔🤷

Jamaica will always have a piece of my heart. Crime is everywhere so I'm not deter by that. However, doing business in JA such as banking, utilities or any government service for that matter tries my patience, mi nah lie 😕

I enjoy visiting Jamaica. When there I go all over. I getarou d with private and public transportation. I experience the same negative comments from Jamaicans about crime on the island.

This was such a great watch I am that Jamaican that is so so so proud to be Jamaican, and it hurts to hear my fellow Jamaicans talk negatively about our country, yes it’s not the safest but so is so many places, we have 14 parishes and they choose to highlight about 4 parishes when it comes to crime what about the other 10, the media is the one who show these horrible narratives it makes me sick to my stomach no other island does this but these vloggers want ratings not knowing that the backlash is worst.
