my mom makes it with sambal belacan and mixes it through instead of using shrimp paste and serving sambal oelek on the side. This is a legit leftovers nasi goreng. We never had leftovers, just extra eggs and had this for breakfast.

@wendyanastacia9551
@wendyanastacia9551 Год назад
@@user-ys7uj3ux9frok we've never used basmati rice in Indonesia. But "nasi goreng" Which is claimed by Indonesian could be cooked at any part of the world depends where you stay at. Thai's fried rice might be slightly different from us because they're using fish sauce something that we never use😊. So just be creative and congrats for your book

Marion, I love how you share Thai food and other cuisines together. You fuse them respectively and give knowledge of each background. I dislike when other chef's try to share a recipe without knowing where they originate from or give due respect to ingredients. I appreciate your authenticity! Please continue to share original Thai recipes and fusions as well. Much love, xo.

Historic FYI Thai fried rice in the past also use sweet black soy sauce , I remember used to eat it when I was like before primary school the rice is more black than today's fried rice. and there are also red fried rice as well (made with red sauce that used for Yen-ta-fo) but I have never see that so I guess it's older than me. unfortunately they both gone and could not find it anyway now.

Pasta Pasty Pastu my grandma made with yen fo paste too it was so pink and pretty. It also depends from where you were born as well. I can still see the black soy sauce being used for fried rice every now and then but yeah no chance of seeing the yen ta fo paste for sho

@VarongTangkitphithakphon
@VarongTangkitphithakphon 5 лет назад
I think tumeric would only gave the color as it doesn't have strong taste in my opinion. and due to shrimp paste has a very strong favor so it would over power most spice.

Turmeric is not for nasi goreng, it taste weird in my opinion. And I prefer brown look as to yellow one. Kecap manis will make it brown.
