Westbound trains arriving at Leytonstone station which has two westbound platforms so that trains from the two routes can enter either platform - or even arrive side by side. Also seen are some eastbound trains.
I used to be a Signalman there, in the late Nineties. The cabin was located at the far end of the Eastbound platform. Happy days, the shifts went so fast,a train signalled every 2 minutes during the peak.
+Jordan Kinely From what I remember 20+ years ago it used to be that off-peak all trains went into the middle platform. In the rush hours it depended on which platform was available. Nowadays however all trains tend to stay on the same side of the island platform as the route they came from; although if that is in use then the train will switch to the other platform, as required.
All sections of all lines are monitored from a control centre, so should unusual moves as seen here need to be made, points can be switched to allow trains to change tracks.
Nice train thought... I was being visit these before. Unfortunately, these Central Line trains are entire the way is so hot! Why is so heat up too hot?!! 😰🔥

strepkins the power rails are energised in sections from electricity sub stations and these rail gap indicators are at the start of each section; they warn the train driver that there is no electricity in the next section. Much more detailed information can be found at this link. districtdavesforum.co.uk/thread/1542/rail-gap-indicator
The Train Guy ah but, that was filmed in 2012 and at the time I was delighted to have filmed that Olympic advertising! Thanks for watching and commenting :-)
Dean McFarlane It was the early evening and trains were entering service for the rush hour. However because trains from two routes were converging so a slight delay built up whilst they waited their turns on the single track route to the west of this station.
