Lo-Fis taking ovaaaaaaaaaaaahh... Was that his real name, or have I forgotten a lead singer change? Used to love the Lo-Fis (and not just the debut album). Love that Orbital-Jason collab too.
...Had to do some Wiki research to answer my own question: Former members Dave Randall (aka The Wrekked Train) - vocals (1996-1999) A slight misremembering then - actually no, i was bang on. That _was_ his real name and they did go on after he* left. 2009's Northern Stomp was a firm favourite from that post-Wrekked Train period. ...Actually, think 2002's Don't Be Afraid of Love was the fave. I also notice I missed a couple of non-album singles in 2015 & 16. *& John Stone (aka Sheriff Jon Stone) - keyboards, programming (1996-1999) - all coming back to me now...
@@ManWalksDogs I out here on the streets! Not sitting indoors. In the record stores. How To Operate With a Blown Mind is one of the most underrated uk albums of the 90's.
The first CD I ever bought was... Leftism back in 1995, still own that original copy and it is still... one of my most favourite albums of all time. So I might be *slightly* stoked for this new album lol
bought the albmus yesterday what a banger having had one of the first albums in hand back at it's original release and now in 2022 getting this pearl is magical.
Absolutely incredible piece of music this is. Wow! Speechless at how amazing it is. Masterstroke by Neil recruiting Grian Chatten. Cannot wait to get my hands on the vinyl
@@macca8100 agree mate I absolutely love leftfield all there stuff this new album I've pre ordered on all 3 coloured vinyls and can't wait but have to agree nothing comes close to leftism for me anyway. That was the soundtrack to the 90s I literally wore it out on 2 cassettes over the years and my vinyl version is scratched to hell from the amount of plays amd abuse it got weekly over the 90s. Nothing touches that album by any artist ever I guess just have to come to terms were never gona get another like it. The new record is gona be a banger no doubt but a classic maybe time will tell.
I'm feeling a kind of 90s vibe about this yet.....not.....the breakbeat, isn't fast enough for that, typical leftfield. Gives you something then goes off on an amazing tangent! ✌👍
Such a timeless music act. Love Leftfield and other experimental producers like Burial, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Massive Attack, Fourtet, Amon Tobin, Forest Swords, Allflaws
I find this band just last month And I killing my self with all albums like I did last time in 90" , coz them I back to my best days and my best days are now, I was missing this filling so long
