Be careful hiding things in empty outlets! Sometimes, there can be loose and/or exposed wires inside of them, which could cause a fire or electrocute you. Check for any wires, don't put stuff against them, and always take precautions to protect yourself and turn off the electricity before doing anything that could expose you to it.
Tried to schedule an exam and the receptionist told me on the phone that "it didn't sound urgent" and I "lacked clarity on my limited symptoms" 🤪 Well duh, I was scheduling for a month and a half from now, it's not like I was trying to get into an Urgent Care, plus she had no idea what my insurance was and told me that a wellness exam and pap smear, a nearly universally covered procedure, isn't covered for me. Welp I guess I'm just going to bleed twice a month and have excessive acne that popped out if nowhere 3 months ago and puke/not eat after every few days. You know. Because it's not "necessary" for me to schedule an exam.
shout out to the fellow nonbinaries who do stuff like get top or bottom surgery and then wear stuff like binders, gaff, packers, and/or silicone breast forms so you look like you have/dont have them when your clothed but dont/do have them when your nude this shout out is very broad for how specific it sounds
binder hiding tip: hang up your binder on a hanger and hang a rarely worn/out of season shirt right over it on the same hanger. (like a big sweater, winter coat, formal outfit, etc.) then push the whole thing towards the back of your closet, it should be pretty inconspicuous
At 3:28, the song is Ergen Deda and the genre is called Bulgarian Folk Choir if anyone's interested! Bulgarian folk songs were one of my hyperfixations a year or so back and I think people should go have a listen at least ONCE in their lives. It has a discordant harmony that's rare to find in Western pop music. Adam Neely referenced it in a video : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mqsnqIw--RU.html. It left a lot of impact on so many things, like in the EDM scene there's a subgenre of Bulgarian Trap (ie: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SpRiUsReRI8.html), and the creators of Ghost In The Shell was inspired to make the song for the intro scene based on the harmony of Bulgarian folk choir, only changing the lyrics with a Japanese wedding chant.
Remember, it's not always about punching Nazis. Not everybody is cut to be on the front lines, although presence at protests and such is important. Providing and sharing meals, helping individuals with disabilities, having these conversations about social change, writing and interacting positively with people regarding theory and practical issues, improving your community, etc. There's something everyone can do, because no one person can do everything.
at 5:18 not only is what they're doing awesome BUT THEY'RE ALSO WEARING A SAFETY VEST dude i swear no one ever wears safety vests at night when they're doing something and they could easily get hurt by that sorry for the rant
this is woke veggie tales rhubarb drag race btw, in case it's not clear :) i saw a Tumblr post that said "woke veggie tales would have rhubarb's drag race" so now I'm drawing veggie tales characters in drag :) i would seriously watch woke veggie tales tho, like veggie tales but with leftist themes would absolutely rip :>
update: it's done!! i can't post links since they get auto filtered, but my Tumblr is in my channel about section, and it should be within the first few posts, or you could search veggie tales or rhubarb's drag race and it should come up :) sorry it's so complicated, i wish i could just post a link :/
omg, the one with noise cancelling earbuds hit so close to home that it's unbelievable. i always have this big, black, bulky bluetooth headset on me, either on my head or hanging around my neck, and this mf has three settings. noise cancellation, no noise cancellation, and ambient normal. people never seem to understand that i can still hear and understand them with the headphones on, because I'll just change what setting it is on or slide one of the headphone ears off of my ear a lil. It's so frustrating. A lot of people, even after explaining it to them, never seem to understand why i always have this headphone w me. I've been called rude, anti social ect ect, and had people try and take it off of my head it truly is so frustrating and weirdly painful. i just wish that people, even if they can't relate to something or dont fully understand it, would still respect other people
okok hihi everyone! (feel free to ramble in the replies, heres my ramble) yesterday i went in cosplay to the mall with my partner and it was super fun we got recognized once and i got 2 fnaf security breach stuff and a DHMIS shirt! last night i finished my sundrop themed cuff and i love it so much
i appreciate the mask one at the end so much more rn. i’m one of the few folks who wears a mask at my school and guess what i tested positive for yesterday?! 😍 /sarc i have covid. i’m alr feeling better than i was, and i can’t imagine what folks with asthma, the immune compromised, folks with heart conditions, and other disabilities are feeling still after 3 years. pls stay safe everyone!
@@dans.ta.maman9966 my next assumption was gonna be maybe they don't need to be sealed if they're just gonna be taken away again, no need to seal them if they're gone in 1-3 days
I figured out something cool yesterday to help with my chronic anxiety! I was lying on my back (with my knees bent) and my hands stacked (palms down) under the small of my back and like rocking/shifting my center of gravity up and down/side to side (uh idk how to explain this, like if this is me: _/\__o im moving back and forth from head to toe but not side to side I hope that makes sense lol) I was able to breathe easier and deeper and get rid of that constricting knot of tension in my chest (if only temporarily) and slow my heart rate when nothing else i’ve tried had worked :D I think the combination of sensory/stimming and somatic movement helped re-center my nervous system! wishing y’all some peace in the chaos of the world
omg that's so cool!!! i use "cpr for the amygdala" when i get anxious. my therapist recently introduced it to me n it has been working great :D glad you've found something that works too :)
Hey you yes you, take a deep breath let it out slowly, and lower your shoulders. Know that you are important to someone even if you feel like no one loves you, guess what I do. I'm so proud of you being here. Thank you. Now make sure you take care of yourself and drink some water, eat something and take a stretch break.💜💜🤗🤗💜💜🤗🤗
I'll never understand why people who don't have ancestral roots in Hoodoo or Kabbalah or Indigenous Spiritual practices insist on trying to encroach on them, there are plenty of open spiritual practices!
Creative Writing Prompt 84: Ooooh, someone didn't do his homework. It's me. I'm someone. Last week we started an original short story, but I couldn't get my first draft done this weekend and I really wanted to do this one alongside you. Luckily, I get to make the rules for this little thing I'm doing, so we're going to take a quick break from our short story and focus on some other littler stuff. We'll come back to it next week. Today is comedy writing. The core of comedy is expectation subversion. Humor is arguably a lot of things, but my understanding is that it's an emotional reaction to perceived absurdity. Our brains are constantly predicting things so we can be ready for them. When confronted with a reality that doesn't match the predictions, it suddenly has to reconcile them. I think. Don't quote me on this. Comedy: Write me a joke or two. Set up your expectation: a man walks into a bar. Then subvert it: he said “ow.” The key is to have a sort of one-way screen on the joke. The punchline must be unpredictable from prospect but obvious from retrospect.
I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate these writing prompts, even though I haven't been doing any writing lately. It's comforting to know that when I do feel up to being creative again, I have a place to start. That when I feel like writing again, I'll have something to work on without the stress of committing to a long-term project. And some of the prompts break things down really nicely so ideas that were stressful and overwhelming to me at first now seem more doable and simple. Anyway yeah I just appreciate all the work you put into these and I always look through the comments for them. They always give me a little boost of inspiration for the day : )
0:01 Congratulations Elongated Muskrat 0:51 😂 8:32 ‼️‼️‼️ Not related: I started talking about politics with my older sister last night, and she DOESN'T BELIEVE THAT THE FAR RIGHT CONSIDERS ANYTHING SLIGHTLY LEFT OF THEM FAR LEFT! Like WHAT?? Anyway, she also doesn't believe that I (maybe leftists in general) take in right-wing media for an "objective perspective", even though I'd like to think I do; it's just that conservative outlets are hardly ever believable in what they say. Another story: My mom and maybe possibly my younger sister don't believe that people shouldn't have to work for basic fucking human necessities. They kept saying like "where will the money come from" or "where's the compensation?" and like 🤦 (came up because we saw a couple homeless people by Walmart 😐) Anyways sorry for the rant(s) lololol Keep in mind, all of these TikToks are significant in their own way! I'm just highlighting my favorites. And to everyone who's reading this, take care of yourself. Treat yourself to something you like/enjoy. Even if it's just a little bit a day, a week, you can do it. Find something that works for you. Have an amazing morning/afternoon/evening!
i don’t think the mafia is something that should be taken lightly. they have and still do cause grief. i also think there’s something to be said about homophobic and transphobic people who suggest queer people participate in organized crime such as abusing children. i’d love to center people who have been somehow involved/impacted in this discussion.
@@AbstractQueer ahh i forgot to add the word queer 🫠 queer people who have been impacted by mob violence hold a valuable perspective. anyone can comment, and i think these experiences should be uplifted bc we know queer people experience violence at a high rate. what do you think?
@@kylowr3n I agree, I haven't been exposed to that type of violence, so I can only speak to my personal experience as a queer person. At least among my friends, when we say "alphabet mafia", we're not saying we're part of the actual mafia, just a different sort of "mob" whose agenda is pretty much just human rights. I did recently learn that back in the Civil Rights era when crossdressing and homosexuality were illegal, most gay clubs were owned by the mob, because they were willing to pay off the cops. Unfortunately, these bars were terribly managed--Stonewall itself didn't even have running water--so the queer community made it clear that they were anti-mob as well as anti-police.
