hot take, your case should be legally required to be investigated even if the police think they caught you in the act (incase you were just at the wrong place at the wrong time) and you should be able to choose your investigator and lawyer both for free, so for example, you dont get a sexist (i used to include investigator here, im changing it) lawyer working for your SA case, and all offices should get trained victim advocates, included for police brutality.
police in america only need to justify that it's more likely than not that a crime has been committed to take action and investigate further which is legalized in the 4th amendment. i agree choosing a lawyer you think could work best with you if you need one could be good, but some people might say choosing those involved in your case could make corruption easier :/ the court process is already long as it is too, so that might lengthen the process. i think many things need to change in the american court process tho
@@tieflingcorpse9817 i don't have all the answers by any stretch, but some offices may have training for victim advocates and prosecutors who handle SA cases. the investigators would be the police in the beginning and i don't know much about their end, but you could look into that in your area. maybe also do a little research into your local prosecuting attorney's office and their policies and practices. some domestic violence shelters or community resources may have info too since those issues can go together.

I have both non-verbal and semi-verbal episodes so I’m learning ASL to have a way of communicating during them (and to be able to communicate with deaf and hoh people of course). My teacher is hard of hearing and isn’t fully fluent but my high school is very small so when I graduate I will hopefully be able to learn from someone culturally deaf. Anyway I just like being able to practice a little every day so yeah thanks for including that in your videos (:

Which is so…interesting, (for lack of a better word), because that’s still just serving white people and white supremacy. It's not true, autonomous success. No matter how far you get, no matter how high you get, you will still be othered and just seen as a "servant" or a "slave". It’s: if you’re close to whiteness, even if you’re still *so* far away, but closer to it than others, you’re successful. It’s just a way of pitting Black people against each other. But, really, any job we have as Black people is still serving white supremacy, because capitalism and white supremacy go hand-in-hand. No matter how we look at it. Even if the CEO of your company is Black, or you’re the Black CEO of a company, you’re still serving white supremacy ‘cause the CEO is upholding capitalistic structures by sitting around hoarding money while their workers do all the real work, similar to how plantations worked; or while there are thousands of poor people who are struggling because of those who hoard money. just going to ramble on about something, idk what turn this might take but tw for anxiety and mental illness in january i started a journal, i just decides it was a good idea one way and just started writing. The first day i didnt know what it was going to be about, or if id keep up with it at all since i have a past of not keeping up with things. I ended the first page with songs that helped me describe my emotions throughout the day, since im bad at speakinf about it, and then followed it by “I’m going to bed… probably not.” Because of my insomnia and overthinking tendencies when the lights turn off. Ive continued it daily. Its turned into a document of my fears that day, or feelings that ive had, like loosing someone I love, getting older, and just whatever is on my mind. Its helped me with my memory, since my mental illnesses can cause not great memory, and also figuring out how i feel. Im a bit more in touch with my emotions, and I hope it gets better. Ive titled the entire journal after the first pg, and so its called Im going to bed… probably not. At the end of every page I write some songs that encapsulate my emotions and end it off with the title. anywho rhats my ramble, no need to pay attention to it, but if anyone has something similar id love to hear about it!!
That's sounds so c0.0l. I don't have exactly the same structure of journalling, but like you, I began to start journaling. Normally I just write about how I feel and express my thoughts/emotions. I relate to not being the best at expressing oneself verbally. (I've always struggled with such a thing), but journalling helps with collecting and recognising my own emotions since I kinda suck at that. Whenever I start a new section, I ALWAYS write down the time I wrote it (I continue this on every page I write) Doing this gives me a sense of stability so... yeah. I also really like how you always end off with a little self-made phrase when you finish. It's quite cute :3
I recently started a new pill for my chronic pain which doubles as an antidepressant and I'm always so anxious about new pills because I read the info packet that comes with them, I've been through a lot of pills that have not helped or made things worse so I'm terrified. But, it's been about a week on them now and things have been better!!! My chronic illness is like,,, BETTER!!! I CAN LIVE! I CAN EAT! I BRUSHED MY TEETH FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A MONTH!!! And just the chronic pain being alleviated has made my depression lighten and now I can actually feel thing again! I have love for things again! I enjoy music! The air smells soft! The sunshine feels great! I found a new hyperfixation after 2 years of nothing feeling interesting at all!! Though, I do still have anxiety about losing my hyperfixation back into the void of enjoying nothing now that I've noticed the pattern, eyeing it like a hawk instead of just enjoying it while it's here. Feeling like I _need_ to use all the energy/motivation/creativity for creating while I have it, adding an unenjoyable pressure to be productive at all times. Plus the anxiety of taking the new pill had me clenching my jaw real hard for like 2 days and now my teeth hurt on both sides and I'm having a hard time chewing. From the anxiety of the new pills I was having a hard time sleeping for a few days, too. I would wake up every hour or so. But yesterday I slept nice and solid again for the first time

But he would only have been allowed to attend schools that offered doctorate programs POST-segregation, after the man had already retired!! I have a lion stuffed animal named tigey (pronounced like the first part of tiger with a -ee sound on the end) that I've had since I was about 6 months old. He has a scent thing in his back that I think smells like strawberries. He's had to be stitched multiple times by my mom buy I love him sm. He's married to my poodle stuffed animal named poodle who I've had for the same amount of time. She's pink and has beads in her. They've had many adopted children over the years including some small rabbit plushes and a tiny tiger plush.

(As a sidenote, thank you so much for the tiktok about black-on-black crime and police brutality. It's a great and well put together response, and I'm certainly using these points.) Anyway, I decided to sift through some comments by new. I found a comment stating that these issues would not happen under an ethnostate, and I didn't think it was a joke- I recognised the black sun in their pfp, in black and white. I hop over to the channels that the commenter has spotlighted on their own channel: fronts for other content, disguised. 100 view channel with 2 video on the imminent fall of civilisation and democracy, 100k platform which reposts memes. a few stick out due to the nazi iconography obscured within their banners and pfps. They have little views, but respond with friendliness, links and connections if you pop a dogwhistle or in-group message in their comments section, happy to engage, if with a bit of mystery. Look, I know these places exist. This isn't about my disgust or surprise. I don't want to make it about me, because it's not- it's about this fucked ideology, ever-changing and evolving with the internet, with the ever-growing expanse of information and connections online. It's about the fact that these channels exist and they aren't isolated or shrinking- they're accessible in a few clicks if you can hear the dog whistle. Moreover, it's about the people who are at the blade side of the knife that is fascism. I'll wrap it up here, but I guess I don't really have a solution to this or a proper conclusion. We know information, knowledge, empathy, critical thinking, and kindness are good things to have in your toolkit. We also know that social media platforms extremism. hmm
Yeah, there's a person who's been commenting fascist shit on all of Peyton's recent videos and I was questioning them on why they think everyone but Southern Europeans deserve death, basically. Turns out they're a literal blackshirt (Italia's 'Hitler Youth' paramilitary but also for older men, too) that wants to revive Benito Mussolini's fascismo italiano and destroy every other "race" that isn't from Southern Europe. It took me far too long to realise, seem as though their literal channel name is camicia nera (lit. "black shirt") and they have Arditi skull insignia (Italian elite storm troopers that fought in WWI with Germany) as their pfp. It just makes me mad how little oversight there is on allowing such things and how easy it is to by-pass restrictions, just because people don't know anything about Nazism if it's not the appropriated swastika, Roman salute, or every other thing the NSDAP stole and has ruined. I think everyone has forgotten Italia's role in popularising fascism throughout Europe and how every country had a fascist division which is being revived today. This person couldn't even reply to my Italian, so it really just shows how pathetic they are that they can't even read the source material. It's dangerous, because these people then use their lack of knowledge to expand the definitions and "wants" of their dead political role models, until what outsiders thought were easily identifiable little boxes of right-wing ideology become so diluted it's what you accidentally consume on a daily basis. A Dude's channel is difficult enough to find even if you are a leftist, so I assume the commenter went out looking for leftist content on youtube and stumbled upon here deliberately. Even though I've studied specifically German fascism, I don't know too much about Italia's history with fascism. Knowledge and education on Nazism and fascist ideology too often ends with the 40's and 50's. Too often, the modern relevance of far-right ideology and groups in todays social and political world is ignored in favour of a narrative that implies that fascism is a thing of the past only. It's not true- fascism is here with us because its not the past, its an ever-changing ideology who's dogwhistles, culture and characteristics are everchanging. Fascism presents too often as a caricature, the idea of a dominating, militaristic, honourably evil ideology. This wasn't very well explained by me sorry, but if people are educated properly on the past in relation to the present and real-life ramifications of fascism- beyond flags and slogans largely redundant to their modern predecessors- then that would be good. "Right-wing", neo nazi, ant-feminists, anti-black, lgbtq-phobic channels are constantly pushed into the algorithm and the sad thing is they most likely stay in that position or grow it's channel further. RU-vid doesn't do anything about, heck they push that kind of content and the sad thing is majority of it is pushed towards younger audiences. This will not only inflict youngsters (mainly young cis-boys) to spread or forcefully push this propoganda onto other children, but it will also hinder the possible comfortablility and safety of specific minorities and their rights. From what I'm seeing it's starting to begin in America:/ Law bills against women and trans individuals are being made because these people are advocating for this bullp00p.
