Fun fact: The original concept for her was supposed to be Dark Energon if I remember right, so the colour scheme for her was supposed to be a mix of translucent and normal purple plastic with red eyes, and she probably would've looked GLORIOUS. Here's to hoping they eventually do that.

This is Waspinator after the humans overthrew him, beat him so badly he went into stasis lock, he laid there and fossilized for a few million years, and then Wheeljack dug him up and decided to turn his fossilized remains into this just for fun.

The reason the guns fall off the back is because they don’t peg in there. You’re supposed to have the port on the side of the arm facing outwards on the helicopter mode and peg them in there, plus it stops the arms clashing with the rest of the body as much.

I think a normal helicopter version of this would make a good Prime Airachnid

Heres a compromise for the waspinator vs. Fembot argument. This is just the daugter of waspinator and magneus. Waspinator is into some weird shit.

Chromed eyes > painted eyes > light piped eyes > translucent eyes without light piping I'd rather sacrifice the look of the back of their head than sacrifice the front by having dead eyes

TBF, the light piping actually fits the theme of the crystalizers, if they were to actually make them shiny... And it's the Unicron Trilogy. What more is there to say? We like it when our Optimuses have super modes cause it means there's an actual use for that trailer of his.

So a thing that’ll help with the transformation is actually tabbing the thrusters into their forarms, that way everything tabs in much more nicely

According to the Hasbro guys that revealed this armorizer, Shard is composed of death crystals. According to the TFwiki, it's from the G1 season 3 episode 7 named "Chaos". I haven't seen the episode, but according to what it says about the green crystal, it's harder than the strongest known metal. When used as ammunition, it can destroy starships or even entire planets. So if this stands true for Shard, then the Transformers of all factions better stand clear of this helicopter's airstrikes, and be considered lucky to have this armorizer in their arsenal, as this rock lord is the most op character of the Infernac Universe.

Crazy how hasbro went from the company that could sell the G1 ironhide toy to the company selling random generic troops with no backstory

I actually recently bought Shard at a target during one of my hunts (not opening her until I get the rest of the Armorizors). She's actually my favorite of the Armorizors, even considering Nucleous, Geocron, and Calcitron still have yet to release. I love the crystal theme of her design, her overall design is pretty cool, and the helicopter mode is slick, and gives me Prime Airachnid vibes for a potential retool. Also her resemblance to Waspinator is something, but I still know that this character is an original character according to Hasbro.

Honestly, the fact that this figure reminds me so much of waspinator, sells the entire thing to me more than the other rock lords, nicest colors and everything. Also, who knew that rockspinator was a creeper to other cybertronians

For me, the only thing that TRULY sucks about Shard is the fact her chest doesn't pop off because I would've LOVED to make a shield out of it for the upcoming Animated Wasp, which is ths main reason I'm even considering getting this thing because I think it'd make Wasp look a bit cooler.

The arms in helicopter mode are upside down and there’s a notch on the engines that lines up with one of the spikes on the arm giving it a cleaner look and the swords I do straight out rather than bent since it gives the rotors a bit more reach and makes sense engineering wise since it needs a lot of lift to get off the ground and I’ve also found that if you do the transformation correctly everything stays tabbed in

They had lore behind QR codes in Legacy and Evolution, but then chose to scrap it in United... the portion of the toyline when they decided to make up entirely new characters. Genius, Hasbro.

This has quickly become one of my favourite Legacy deluxes. I absolutely love everything she does and the armour gimmick is so easy ignoreable so it’s the best one!

Cybertron Optimus should be the next milestone review at this point... Such a solid figure with fun super modes. Even the Leo breaker, which sucks in base, is easily upgraded with spare parts off an Armada Unicron or a really overpriced upgrade kit.

I am drawn to these rocks due to weird factor alone but I agree it would nice to have the smallest piece of lore (though tbf did Fossilizers even have lore?)

You have the arms wrong in the alt mode. The green bits on the arms need to be rotated to the top so you can plug the gun things into the forearms, they fit perfectly.

No lore on the back, but those QR codes give some lore although limited. You can find them on the wiki if you aren't bothered to scan the code, which I'm not, although Shard's is very short. The page is "Shard is made of death crystals from the planet Dread! With double death crystal blades on each arm, she's one Rock Lady you'd better watch out for." So, we know gender/pronouns, what she's made of and where she's from.

Sooo...in other words, he's ok, just ok. But I do have to say, "waspinator + rock" fusion idea sounds fun. Besides that, I do wish Hasbro tryed relising more Helicopters or Tanks ( but not the likes of Skullgrin or Xaaron from a Siege Reflector. ) As for the question of the video... If you could create a fossiliezar, what altmode would it have and what kind of ROCK would you imagine he's/she's made of?

Waspinator's alt mode was always female anyway - male bees and wasps don't have stingers - so it's not such a big deal to say he went fembot full time as Shard. I mean, they're alien robots with half a dozen ways of reproducing, none of which depend on earth-biology-style bi-gendered sexual roles anyway.

I have shard and shes amazing. Also you have the arms wrong as the 5mm port should face outwards to allow the guns to conect to the top.

I wanna get Shard but unlike with the Junkions the rock theme feels way too specific for me to just get one on its own, but I also don't really wanna get all of them either. Like, I have all these other transformers that are normal looking and then just one that's covered in rock? It would feel way too off to just have one of them.

I love how the brought back rock lords, but i dont like how shameful they come apart and dont allow you to do many interesting things with it.
