I am getting this set. I skipped the first Bludgeon... Too many Tarns... By the way after mentioning the Hotrod shoulders you forgot to scream a second time!
Apart from the head sculpt (which rocks, I ain't think Hasbro had the balls to pull this off), this thing is probably the ugliest use of the Tarn mold. They really need to stop these oddball amalgamations of Pretender Shells and Inner Robots. The only Bludgeon this worked for was RotF Bludgeon, who was his own mold. Otherwise, it just doesn't work. *evil glaring at Legacy Bomb-Burst & Skullgrin and at that convention exclusive Metalhawk that was a new head repaint of Transformers 2010 Thunderwing*
I feel like the green and yellow are way too vibrant for the early IDW Bludgeon design this is supposed to be emulating. Also his face wires are supposed to be gray, not yellow. I do not think it looks bad though, however I do think it is a poor representation of what it is trying to be .
it looks... neat. I wish they bothered retooling the regular version. although the most annoying part of that one is there's only one port on his left forearm in contrast to the right forearm which has two, so Bludgeon either has to be left handed unlike usual, or have his cannon be even worse getting in the way of his shoulders. This figure made me go from thinking Tarn's double cannon is a bit extra but cool, to try hard garbage that should have has his butt kicked by Megatron much earlier.
Starts video thinking perspective is going to like this. Remembers how much he hates the Tarn mold. OH SH- Also just as a warning. I’m sure you’ve heard about this but incase you haven’t: Legacy tidal wave has a bad case of the trypticon joints in his knees. At the moment it doesn’t even seem like shortening the springs will fix it.
To whoever denied this design thank you. I love the movie constructicons for how diverse they are in design, but... Yea, tiny tri-pod legs with arms that look like they're damaged out the gate so strange.
I really hope an upgrade kit comes out on how to fix the shoulders, maybe along the lines of removing the entire tread part that makes up the chest (Edit: it was dark in my room and I didn’t see it was pinned)
I did find a way on tfw2005, I think it requires an actual soldering iron, or a hot metal tip as well as pliers, no wonder companies haven’t even attempted this crap. As much as I love the tarn mould I hate both the shoulders and how any form of customizing is locked away like fort knox with these pins
I would have agreed that Tarn's Hot Rod Shoulders are the worst use of them, but Studio Series Pablo ended up rivaling him, because at least Tarn's transformation isn't clashy to the point of going insane because of the shoulders.
This reminds me of the one time roast-a-news format used for that one guy specifically. I partially wanna see it more but at the same time it would be funny if it was made to be just as official for the channel as the other two _-a-mans formats only for that onr guy to be the only one bad enough to be deemed worthy of it.
I dont know if it’s just me, or does the head look a little too..round? Like, I really hope its just the picture quality being a bit shite thats making me think that, but I really hope hes alot squarer in the head in person.
perspectiveend idk but is either my whiskey talking to me or you spent time with uncle sam brother lol I might be wrong but you sound like me and my brothers in arms.
