It definitely hooked me. I enjoyed the layout of the NASB 95 so it helped

In the new testament, Lord Jesus taught us to call God Father.... We dont need yahweh and besides it was added later w/ vowels a & e so that it can be read but the original name was only 4letters YHWH....

Yeah I hear ya. This is the most literal translation but doesn’t make it the easiest to understand or read. Great for certain purposes. I still enjoy my ESV

Hello Giancarlo, I know you're comment is 6 months old. But I thought I'd reply in case you are still pondering the LSB VS NASB '95. As you said, they are very, very close. The main difference in the translation of the LSB is that it uses God's personal name Yahweh in the old testament. There are also several instances where the LSB uses on the actual text, the "Alternate" translations found in the foot notes of the NASB and vice-versa. Honestly if you already own a high quality NASB '95 bible such as the Schuyler Quentel as an example, then you really don't need to move to the LSB yet. The LSB is expressly intended to preserve the NASB '95 for posterity. This decision was made by the translation team as a rejection to the changes that Lockman made to the 2020 NASB revision. Some dubious stuff like jumping on the "gender neutral" bandwagon and the such. Basically the LSB is a way to keep the NASB '95 available in the future, for such a time when Lockman only prints the 2020 version instead.

There are other updates to the NASB 95 in the LSB since we have older manuscripts that have been used to do the update. With the LSB you have the updates done in the 2020 sans the gender neutral things plus Yahweh in place of Lord.

Not everyone likes all that stuff, but I get what you're saying. Next will be a MacArthur LSB Study Bible.

I wore my cheap Bible out, the pages falling out, cardboard cover coming off. Not symth sewn bindings. I cherished His word and this Bible. But, please don't get negative on people who prefer leather Bibles. I made a decision after my first Bible falling apart that God's word was worth every cent I could save to buy my first leather Bible. That Leather Bible is leather, 40 years old and will be around long after I'm gone. If all we can buy is a non leather Bible, above all do get it . You are right in much of what you said. Love in Christ.

@@Carol-nv6py Carol, they have 10, 15 or even tons of the expensive leather Bibles. BUT THEY DON'T FULLFIL WHAT IS WRITTEN IN ANY OF THAT BIBLE IN THEIR LIVES AND MINDS... They are "stamp"-collectors in most cases. By the way Carol, how many guns do they have at homes and hidden in the ground somewhere? So they are going to "love" their neighbours and co-Christians in the same way as "love" was shown to Indians, pоssessors of the all American continents' lands? 10$ for female-Indian scalp, and 15$ for male-Indian scalp? Do you remember mass collective prayers of millitary pilots before covering bombings of Vietnamese villagers with mattocks? Millions and millions of simple people were killed! Yes, "real" Christians helped other nation... By the way, Soviet Union delivered super weapons and missiles to those villagers, and they, Vietnamese with mattocks, destroyed those "guests". Only warplanes were destryoed about 4000...
