i think if you have a ring with 2 counters on board and you play a second one. Its always correct to keep the one without counters since it can be tapped for a card immediatly. The next turn it can then betapped for another 2. Which is 3 cards total like the other ring but you only get 1 damage
Yeah. I just "did the math" and if we call the current turn, Turn 1, then by Turn 2 both new ring and old ring will have drawn us 3 cards. But after Turn 2 then keeping the old ring will result in 1 extra card per turn. So it goes like this: Old Ring: T1:0, T2:3, T3:4, T4:5, T5:6 New Ring: T1:1, T2:2, T3:3, T4:4, T5:5 So by turn 5 the old ring will have drawn you 18 cards where the new ring will have drawn you 15 cards, and that gap will increase by 1 per turn for each subsequent turn. So it really depends on whether you expect the game to end sooner rather than later and on your life total.
