I loved this podcast and your recap of Rhinebeck. I had bought tickets in the summer and then caught Covid. I was devastated to miss it. Your Old Cider Mill color way brought me much joy and thank you for the free shipping. I feel close to you and your mom because I, too, live in Connecticut. Sounds like a wonderful experience. Rhinebeck is on my bucket list for sure. I’ve been to MD sheep and wool and your Needles Up event and both are so lovely.

This was my first Rhinebeck. It was magical. Sure wish I’d been able to meet you.

I live in MD and have only missed MD Sheep and Wool once since 2005. (Excepting the COVID years.) You might be surprised that MD is WAY BIGGER than Rhinebeck. They’ve expanded a lot in the last 5-10 years. The fairgrounds are HUGE and there are barns, buildings, parking lots and fields where things are set up. You should come down at least once. It’s pretty mobbed on Saturdays but Sundays are more relaxed. There’s not a whole separate food tent like at Rhinebeck but lots of vendors on the fairway and believe it or not, plenty of LAMB to eat. (There’s other stuff too… fair food. I wish we had that Crabby Mac and Cheese (or is it lobster?) but we don’t. Also not the cider doughnuts. But there are lots of yummy things. Come on down!! First full weekend in May. Classes on Friday and the market opens on Saturday and Sunday.
