Because of top gun, I owned a kawasaki GPZ. It was the best fun bike I ever had. I was so young back then, it gave me the most memorable time of my life. I remember working my ass off...

Gpz900r Great looks, performance above its class, riding position which would be considered equal to a sport tourer. This was a sport bike you could live with.

I had one back in 87, I absolutely loved it and had the Ray Ban aviator sun glasses to match. When I parked up one of my friends would say, "You can be my wingman anytime!" Happy days😊.

I had a 1987/86 750CC ninja. Loved that bike. IT was so comfortable to put people on the back. Girls loved it and I loved my bike because they loved it.

I have a fully restored GPz 900R A1. It handles amazingly well for an almost 40 year old bike. It would be wonderful to have a new GP ZED back. Can't wait to see it in the metal ...

I had the original 84' Ninja GPZ 900...bought on my 25th birthday at Richmond Kawasaki. I remember riding over there on a SamTrans bus from SF to pick it up and riding it back home in the rain. My wife at the time thought I was insane. I remember seeing it advertised in Motorcyclist magazine in my dentist office...the byline was "Kawasaki's Big Red Machine CHP will Hate!" I knew right then and there I gotta have that bike. Love riding it to see Kenny Roberts race at Sears Point with my best friend who bought one too!! We were young and fearless...formed a motorcycle club of just Kawi riders in the Bay Area called the "Bandits". We use to stomp the shit outta those Honda Interceptor riders....lol! Fun times on that bike...and 5 years later it was stolen at SFSU attending night classes. :(

If kawasaki made the Gpz on rs base then they will destroy that legend Gpz

Finally realizing the IN-LINE 4 is the way to go. They can’t make enough Ninja 400 RR to meet demand. Kawasaki really missed the mark on the Z650rs with that “bland” parallel twin. Should have gone I-4 like my buddies 1978 Z650 screamer. If they could just bring back the ZRX series they would be killing it!

I definitely love this bike above all the other bikes I've ever owned and I have had many! I had a 1984 in red and metallic gray and a 1985 in black and red just like Tom's bike... This is the one bike that I miss the most! Not the fzr 1000, not the YZ250 dirt bikes, not the KZ 650, not the triple two-stroke 400 Kawasaki, not the numerous old school trail bikes, not that Vulcan 800 cruiser when I went through my Harleyish phase... 125 two-stroke street legal mito cagiva race bike, Not the Ducati 900ss that killed me three times... That 85 black and red ninja 900 was the single best motorcycle of my entire life and if I had one thing mounted to the wall it would be this bike.

Beautiful but classic GPZ is one true motorcycles, what you can rides. New motorcycles for me rides them selfs.

I prefer looks of zxr750 H through to L . , & also 1000RX,. I remember thinking of getting a gpz 900 but got Gsxr 1100 slabbie instead .. good choice 🏃‍♂️😎👍🏻

No it's not. Its a modern paint job on a modern bike. Its a bike you'll never be able to home fix yourself without a dealer plug in for fault finding. The seat is less comfortable. The engine doesn't have that nice fueling of the original. Its not as physically big. It doesn't have the feel good factor.
