Legend of Vox Machina Season 3 - Insight Check - Spoilers C1 and S3 

My personal predicions are (heavy spoilers ahead): SEASON 3 "The Fall of Chroma Conclave" Ep 1-3 ; Alliance with Raishan, setting up trap for Vorugal, Larkin's introduction & Battle with Vorugal Ep 4-6 ; Travel to Ank'Harel, spice shenanigans, finding out about Ripley and her adjescent quest for vestiges, confrontation at the Island of Glass, Ripley dies, Percy's death cliffhanger Ep 7-9 ; Percy's resurrection, travel to Fort Daxio, possible bottle episode in Plane of Fire, setting up battle in Emon Ep 10-12 ; Thordak fight, turning on Raishan and going after her, last episode is Raishan's death and Scanlan getting killed / revived / leaving. Season ends with "My name is Taryon Darrington" SEASON 4 "The Trial and Tribulations of Sir Taryon Darrington" Ep 1-3 ; Tary's proper intro, they beat the shit out of him and learn the truth, VM decides to take him in and they focus on helping Keyleth with her Aramente, travel to Terrah, Earth Aramente Ep 3-6 ; Travel to Vesrah, Skyship shenanigans, Kraken fight, Keyleth upgrade & she learns the truth about Vilya's "demise" Ep 7-9 ; If they'll decide to make Hotis an actual threat, they could transplant the fake Gilmore assassination here followed by an immediate quest to Nine Hells, aside from that the Trickfoots misadventure and Goldfish scene will be here, 1 year timeskip Ep 10-12; Tary decides to go back home, they confront his family, Wildemount adventure and Tary's decision to leave VM, they go back to Whitestone and season ends with Meat Man reveal SEASON 5 "The Whispered One" Ep 1-3 ; Scanlan comes back, travel to Ziggurat, Delilah Briarwood is alive reveal, infiltration of Thar Amphala, Vecna reveal, city gets plane shifted to Material Plane, Battle & Vax's death, party teleports to Feywild, "Where's Vax?" cliffhanger Ep 3-6 ; Artagan shows back up and reveals his true identity, Vax makes a deal with Matron and comes back as a revenant, party goes to Vasselheim to alert everyone and begins the quest for God's favor, they learn about Sprigg and find his house Ep 7-9 ; Sprigg intro, battle with the cultists, meeting with Ioun & Scanlan becomes her champion, travel to Elysium & Pike receives her blessing, meeting with the Dawn Father, Vex completes his challenge and obtains the blessing, return to Material Plane Ep 10-12 ; Infiltration of the Titan, Arkhan shows up, Delilah dies, Sylas comes back and flees (or gets killed too if they don't plan on covering the one-shots), final battle against Vecna, VM wins, Arkhan steals Vecna's hand, Vax leaves for good, show ends with Keyleth and a raven scene It's not perfect but this is roughly what I think is going to happen, given that they did move some things around in previous seasons there is always some wiggle room and surprises we might see. Season 4 is the biggest mystery because I think it's the most flexible and a lot of smaller arcs we haven't seen on the show yet could be easily jammed there but time will tell what they'll do. I might be completely wrong about the whole thing anyway.

Really hoping we get a trailer this month liks we've been getting the last few years.

I'm gonna be real, I'm super stoked for S3, but if they skip over the Darrington arc, I'm gonna be ticked. ^-^

instead of using moments where scanlan's confidence wavers as alluding for "whats my mothers name" i wouldve rathered used "no one cares about you, im no different" -osysa or moments where the party doubts scanlan being earnest or sincere even when he succeeds in Kamaljiori's challenge, they DON'T EVEN ASK HOW HE SUCCEEDED. Even when Kamaljiori says "this is the wisest sage ive ever known" they dont take it seriously and brush it off as a humorous moment, when it is scanlans big moment before the fall. They dont even ask how scanlan is faring since Kamaljiori was the only one who saw Scanlan for who he is deep down, and then Kamaljiori was killed before his eyes. Those moments showcase that the party never care to ask about scanlan's emotions or past.

Cant wait for the new season, but I understand if it will take longer because they're working simultaneously on the animated series for C1 AND C2, while having several projects going on at the same time. And I agree on your theory on where S3 ends

My guess is they will go to Terrah instead of Vesrah, especially since it was prestream initially and need to cover earth for Keyleth. I really hope for a bards lament to close the season and the the episode to just end silently (because the music just left)

I am hoping we get a moment where Keyleth is so surprised by her success with feablemind that she falls over. :D

also i feel that draconia is getting written out, they might just ambush vorugal on the outskirts of emon since vorugal is being thordaks lapdog rn.

I'm pretty aure that S3 will see end of the Chroma Conclave and Scanlan's departure. It doesn't make that much sense to have him leave near the end only to show right up again. They'll probably save his return until the middle or end of S4, that way its more impactful to the audience.

Guys I just got confirmation that it’s coming out this fall

My *spoiler* prediction: There will be an early episode (within the first six) where the party has to go to Marquet for a MacGuffin that leads them to a vestige. Scanlan will recall that Kaylie said she was going there last season and his story will be the B plot, with the vestige info being the A plot. This will help separate him from the party for his deeper moments as they have been doing. He will be trepidatious but he will eventually meet her. There will be some mention of Juniper bushes in bloom nearby as a subtle nod to fans who know. Scanlan will talk about his mother to Kaylie revealing his backstory to the audience. There will be some mention about leaving Kaylie as a bards lament (or the episode will be titled this) just to tease the fans. Kaylie will say don't you go dying on me before getting to know you. What's my mothers name will be in the last couple of episodes. They may mix things up and have the cause be the Thordak or Vorugal fight. This will give Taryon more story time.

So season 3 they said will finish the croma conclave. So will probably end at the bards lament. Then I could see season 4 be the daring adventures of tarrion darrington or at least half of it cause like not alot happens. They finish kikis arch, pike has a thing with her family which at the end the "we're gods" happens. then they take a year off. THEN I can see the vecna arch being a movie. Like 90-120 minutes and that's how it's ended. Cause like Vax leaving is the perfect end to a movie ya know?

I'm starting to understand whats behind the delay for season 3. Otherwise we would have seen it on Prime in January. But I'm not giving up 👆

Spoilers contained. . . . . . . . . You really think they'd cram in all of the rest of the CC arc with room enough to spare an introduction to Darrington & then Scanlan's return? Are you mad? They barely have enough room to fit the rest of the CC arc. Vorugal w/ Larkin's help; Ank'Harel w/ spice, J'mon, & the assassin death that leads to; Glintshore & a certain death & then a revenge team HDYWTDT; a resurrection ritual w/ loves confessed; the trip to the City of Brass which includes a Pit Fiend fight to get Pike's vestige; the assault on Emon; the 1st fight w/ Raishan; licking wounds; then the 2nd Raishan fight; another resurrection ritual; and then the real meat of a Bard's Lament. All that in 12 episodes with enough room to fit in the Darrington mini-arc which includes them going to Vesrah, Hell & then Deastok? No no no. The Bard's Lament will be the thing they end ep 12 of S3 on.

I wonder whether they will have the guest characters in the animation or not. I heard that people are upset with Patrick Rothfuss for still not release his third book? I don't know whether Jon Heder wanted to return. And, I hope, they have time to include Sprigg and Tova, if the show cover their section of the story. And I just realized that the show had skipped The Clasps subplot and Garthok entirely. I guess they just didn't have time for them.

Delilah likely cast Create Undead rather than Raise Dead to create the Dracolich.

When is season 3

SPOILERS FOR CAMPIGN 1 OF CRITICAL ROLE AND POTENTIALLY SEASON 3 OF THE LEGEND OF VOX MACHINA BELOW! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! Here's how I think the narrative end of season 3 and (hopefully) season 4 will finish off certain threads. Given the kind of changes they have made to narrative threads in seasons 1 and 2, what I believe will likely happen is this: Season 3 ends with Raishan absconding with the corpse of Thordak. I believe they will keep Raishan alive by the end of the season instead of ending the Chroma Conclave arc altogether, this way they have a narrative hook and potential cliffhanger for season 4 to resolve. Scanlan will leave by episode 12 of season 3. Though it took Scanlan's second death to Raishan in the campaign for him to finally snap and leave Vox Machina for a time, I think it makes more sense for it to be a single death in the show for two reasons; 1. Unlike the campaign, there is limited air time, based on that alone, a second death doesn't make much sense from a writing standpoint. 2. There are only so many death-undos you can do in a show before people start to become jaded toward them. During the campaign, a resurrection was never a sure thing, so the stakes were always there for the potential that the character would not be coming back. In a show like this that is written using inspiration from the campaign, it would be hard to overcome the idea that they are simply doing too many '"death fake-outs". This will mean the final Raishan battle in season 4 will be without Scanlan and Mythcarver, making the stakes of finding Raishan without it a bit stronger, and will give both the party and viewers, time to adjust to not having him there, which will prime everyone for the reveal of Taryon Darrington on the tail-end of Season 4 episode 3. Another reason I believe Scanlan will suffer only a single death in the show's run time, is viewers will already be reeling from Percy's death at the hands of Ripley and Orthax and subsequent resurrection, in season 3. These two deaths are too big to not have in the show, it's possible they may delay Percy's last confrontation with Ripley and Orthax until season 4, but that would mean Percy would be fighting Thordak without his vestige, which I rather doubt since all of Vox Machina had a vestige each during the Thordak battle, and the whole of season 2 established and partially resolved the quest for the vesitges specifically to fight Thordak and the Chroma Conclave. Assuming I'm at least partially correct, what this will mean is that the middle half of season 4 (episodes 4-9) will likely be more of a light-hearted adventure (save for one confrontation with a kraken and some more Vax and Matron of Ravens plot thickening), involving Taryon Darrington's adventures with Vox Machina to finish Keyleth's Aramente and a trip to hell to kill a certain tiger-man-fetus.Episodes 10-12 will be largely set-up for season 5 and the final Arc of The Whispered One. Scanlan is revealed in episode 12, potentially being the cliffhanger/plot hook for season 5 along with a spinning-orb-of-death tease, Taryon departs, and at some point we get the one year time skip (probably end of episode 11). These are complete specualation based on my knowledge of Campaign 1 and their writing style in Seasons 1 and 2 thus far and, given the show's success, I don't have any reason to think Amazon won't give CR 5 seasons, which the show will need to get all the main arcs.

I hope it’s not repeats of the other seasons, which was a problem I had with season 2. A character is possessed by a demonic weapon, _again._ Vax’ildan and Percy are at odds with each other, _again_ and Vax and Keyleth don’t admit their feelings for one another _again._ I don’t mind call-backs, but these feel almost like regurgitation.

This is already almost 1 year we've been waiting, they should be finished recording for S3 some months ago if the team didn't too focused to their candella obscura. Honestly in my opinion, Critical Role team was too far thinking about their upcoming projects that they seemed forgot the animated series, I didn't said they abandoned it because I believe they don't. Imagine, S3 informations are gone like a wind, no further updates about it even when they got a golden chance to revealed it in last NYCC's October event... Then suddenly, they announced about Might Nein animated series while the TLoVM animated series are still continuing... Plus, recently Matthew want to make its video game version. Duh, I mean "finish the damn TLoVM animated series first! Don't focused to another things"... It's ok if they want to make a video game or live action of their Critical Role game, but please for now only focused to finish TLoVM animated series first... Finish what they've been started... Don't make another else especially Might Nein if TLoVM still not finished yet... Why ? Because it will make a bad story gap since Might Nein stories were supposed to be happened after Legend of Vox Machina stories.
