How has it been 20 years? I recall every moment playing OoT. It was an exciting time in the world before the year 2000, I had so much to look forward to and these songs always take me back to that little 10 year old me, innocent and naive, but happy and with so much to learn and do. I think only very special music can literally take you back to a time decades-past so that you can remember how things looked and felt and smelled from that version of yourself.
My favourite part about Zelda symphonies is seeing the beaming grins on the orchestra member's faces when they hear the audience cheering and getting excited
@@Pretzelcoatlus Jesus christ chill my guy. You clearly have a chip on your shoulder, don't take it out on me just because I enjoyed the atmosphere and getting to enjoy something together with likeminded people.
I know my comment is 4 years too late, but this particular concert if you watched the entire thing. Audience were encouraged to cheer and make noises during their performances.
I played OoT when I was 15 years old. I'm 40 now and I lost my wife this year. I wish I was 15 again when life was just enjoying a game without any worries. Can't stop crying when listening to this beautiful song.
For the record, During the start of both the LoZ and Final fantasy shows, they say to make noise when ever you want. Both orchestras i saw said which ever we made the most noise for they would play again at the end. My winners were Gerudo valley and one winged angel. While any other classical orchestra I agree its rude, These are pretty hard core gamers going to these events. I got excited as fuck when certain songs came on.
You know, I equate this to a performance piece, not cheering at certain parts might be considered rude. This isn't classical music y'know, there aren't strict guidelines in how to enjoy this. At the end of the day, the musician/conductor just wants to know that their performance evoked an emotion in you. Cheer, but in a way that doesn't disturb those around you. I didn't see anything impolite here.
You let them know it's good by cheering at the end! When they are finished! Such a hard concept to understand. Why would you want to pay money, to LISTEN to a symphony, but then just be content with hearing cheers and random blips of nonsense instead. Makes entirely no sense to me.. same with people who sing with a band. They are making MUSIC.. These people have been playing since they were children.. and you're wanting to hear baboon screeches over it?
Justin Hardt Most concerts I've been to encourage singing along. It helps get the crowd pumped up and feel like they are part of an experience you couldn't get without being there. Some bands like early Black Sabbath thrived off the singer being able to get the crowd going. That and you really expect a bunch of nerds to not cheer as arguably the greatest piece of music to come out of a video game is played so beautifully? We aren't exactly a quiet bunch lol
I saw this live, and my gawd… the goosebumps and chills you get when the music literally resonates throughout your entire body from that life performance…
This song might be one of the greatest track of gaming music history. It creates in me such an overwhelming feeling of grandeur. In my opinion, it perfectly incapsulte the return of the fable hero and the hope for a better future. It is optimistic and triumphant. It annonce an unrelinquish desire to rise above darkness and tyranny. It signal the end of despair and summons in all good people the strengh to rally and follow in his footstep if you so dare. It feels the heart of evil creature with dread, as its trumpet herald the dawn of a new day, and judgement is coming and those who are foolish enough to defy it, and all who stand in his way shall be smiten by his righteous might, unwaivering, evil cannot win. This is how would you say the Final Boss music of the Good guys, in gamer terms 🙂
The noises you made at the beginning brought back incredible memories when I saw them for the 25th anniversary in LA. Instantly remembered feeling the exact same way, unable to contain my emotion with my best friend. I was only 15 I think. One of the best experiences of my life
What's great about this is that you get the feeling that the orchestra really enjoyed playing this. Koji Kondo is no joke, he is a legitimately phenomenal composer and this orchestra obviously enjoyed playing his arrangements.
And I thought the guitars version of SB was the Ultimate version of this song, now this is even more amazing, a true masterpiece masterpieced by this orchestra
Clicked off as soon as the crowd started cheering during the song. Have some fucking respect and listen to them before fangirling all over them. Christ.
me, cause as a spanish musician, i can assure, this orchestra is amazing but there's no way , this version can beat the real and pure spanish guitar style played in the original ost
HOLY SHIT I have the CD for Symphony of the Goddess, but I can't even imagine how phenomenal it would sound live ugh I'd probably lose my shit (respectfully of course)
