Released in October 2000, Majora's Mask used many of the same models from Ocarina of Time when Link ends up in a parallel world called Termina. Unfortunately, Termina is facing certain destruction from a strange moon that seems to have not heard of the law of gravity. At this past Awesome Games Done Quick, $1,025,000 was raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. It only took a week of continuous streaming, 18,000 donors, and many many runners to achieve. A big thanks to everyone responsible for these amazing numbers, what a humbling achievement. For comparison, last year's event raised just under $500,000.

Luchsius they are nothing like spam...they tell you important information that the uploader either forgot to include when editing and publishing the video, or else information or changes that might make the current video being viewed either out of date or obsolete in some way. The latter also usually involves a link that will lead you to a more current and more accurate video in regards to the information the video may contain

Luchsius I hate the videos that have like 4 annotations across the top of the screen and then a couple at the bottom of the screen so fucking bad. It just makes the whole thing look like a mess, and its so annoying to exit out of them all.

RUN SPOILERS BELOW!! READ ON AT YOUR PERIL. .. i am at 52 minutes and still not started a dungeon! Now there is no way you can do 4 dungeons in an hour. I am guessing theres gonna be some kind of glitch to avoid going through the dungeons. Lets see if i am right.

@@NN-ix9wf Around that time he was running both MM and OOT, getting records in both. At this event the reason he ran MM is because he was the backup runner and the original runner couldn't make it. Before or after this event (I forget exacts), he ditched MM in favor of just running OOT. He still runs OOT to this day, and his stated reason for not liking to run MM (first cycle), is irrelevant when doing randomizers and whatnot.

@@LaskyLabs I don't recall who (I think it was during that 4-man co-op speedrun at GDQ 2016), but I remember another MM speedrunner joking that they lost a speedrunner because they got burnt out by the first cycle. I guess they were referring to ZFG lol.

I would love to see a 100% Majora's Mask run at the next marathon! I loved Runnerguy's OOT run at AGDQ 2013 and have watched it a few times, and MM is easily my favorite Zelda game, so I expect that would be extremely fun.

In 2014, this was the first ZFG speedrun I watched. Ever since then I've been hooked on this dude since then and always love watching him on Twitch. Jay is a legend and his GDQ runs prove it (even though he says all his GDQ runs suck, but that just how ZFG is.)

When I finally got to Majora's Mask as the final boss, the first two phases were alright, but for some reason, Majora's Wrath gave me nightmares. Still love the game, and I love it even more, seeing as it came out in Japan 7 days or so after my birthday! :D

Amazing run! I can't believe I have only just watched this and this was 2yrs ago. ZFG no longer even runs MM - he runs OoT and occasionally TP. Everything is 100% explained like all the best runs are and ZFG, as always, makes this game look super trivial. Great work man.

I beat this game 100% and it took four weeks for me to accomplish. I wonder if you guys will start a speed run of Majora's Mask but complete it 100%. Thanks so much for raising and donating all of that money for cancer research. I'm sure you saved many lives.

There is a 100% run, Or all Mask, heart container and items run. I think its something like 6-7 hours. But that was years ago, I do not think its a really popular category to run.

Did anyone else not get the Bow and arrow until after the section in Pirate's Fortress where you have to hit the Beehive? I forgot the Bow (somehow) and managed to clip the Zora boomerang through the bars. I still don't know how I did that...

It is the shortest game in the series. Only 4 dungeons. I am a big fan of the zelda series but was disappointed with this. The game play is there, game length isn't. Once you get familiar with the game it is not hard at all to beat it in under 4 hours.

GoronGuy, another Majora's Mask speedrunner . He had "ZFG Sucks" before his race vs Ennopp at ESA 2013 (a speedrunning marathon that took place at Europe) so ZFG had "GG sucks" up for payback.
