Imagine how many of these games could have been avoided if Link had been wearing a helmet. I swear every story starts with Link getting knocked out.

That Master Sword song clip always gets me to smile...especially since all the Links pose the same way, almost as if the sword itself prompts it...it’s almost like Fi is guiding the hero to hold it the way “her” master did in the past

I would really wanna see a Legend of Zelda game focused mainly on a story... But not any kind of story, but the story relevant to all the other Zelda games in both the lore and behind the scenes experience. With all the intertwined confusing timelines and constant reincarnations and repeats, the dream sections of Link's Awakening making you question reality of events, the story hints in Skyward Sword trying to explain the whole Link-Zelda-Ganon loop and why it happens, it really makes me wish for a Zelda game about... Link, in one of his incarnations, suddenly realizing it all and, as a result, having a game-long psychedelic experience, constantly jumping from one reality to another, trying to make sense of this mess that is his torn apart mind, yet besides that, at times having short bursts of consciousness where he actually desyncs with all this nightmare and just wakes up in his own reality, with the ability to walk around and do the generic Zelda game stuff, just progressing through the story, except this time realising it all has already happened, in one form or another... or did it? I want this game to make you, as a player, just as well as Link, as a player character (perhaps), constantly question what is real and what isn't. Are those "burst of consciousness" reality? Or is it the psychedelic sequenses? Are some storylines from those sequences make more sense than others or retain their plot in-between and hence seem more real than the rest? Are Skyward Sword prophecies real? Is this all really a dream/state that Skyward Sword Link fell into after being cursed? Could this be just another dream world/sequence like in Link's Awakening? I want those parts to be the initial focus, goal, and basically the point of the game. Figuring stuff out, making some choices, fighting villains and enemies that have little to no interconnection, while trying to win the main battle: the one between Link and his fucked up mind. It would actually really serve to have an ability to play through at least a " half the basic game long" version of some select visions. To actually go out and beat Ganondorf, save Zelda in that storyline, only to highlight how pointless that was. How it literally accomplished nothing except it changed his visions and experiences slightly. Maybe give him another choice, to try and beat his actual storyline, not getting rid of those visions or finishing "the game" either. Maybe even fast forward in time even, to show his eventual death of old age or something and eventual reincarnation of both him, Ganon, and Zelda. The game could have multiple endings (cause why the fuck not), one of them being, obviously, Link's death. One of them, maybe, him just getting over being nuts and just settling down to just live the rest of his life (which could be the most satisfying for those thinking his hallucinations are just that, hallucinations, while the moments out of them are the real ones). One could feature Link "waking up" the way he did in Link's Awakening. Some more could result to him reincarnating in any of the previously established games as an end cutscene. And the one (maybe the best one, I dunno, depends on if there's actually meant to be a bias from the developer's or is it just all meant to be grey) where he actually tries to piece it all together, deeming everything but the Skyward Sword sequences unreal and made so by the Skyward Sword plot in the first place. And after that realization he actually wakes up/reappears in Skyward Sword's timeline, breaking out of the curse bestowed upon him. Boom! This is the best I could think of, in terms of actually taking advantage of the fucked up timeline and making something great with it as a storytelling resource. Now many concepts introduced here sound unrealistic at paper, but in reality there are many examples of both Zelda and non-Zelda games proving that varying level of craziness in a game design are possible. Zelda devs time and time again managed to put out many many hour long experiences for everyone to enjoy, and consistently too. If one actually manages to apply some or most Zelda gameplay formulas to this, it would result in something just incredible, at least in my opinion. Now, I'm on to continue my journey through RU-vid, realizing I just wrote a few pages long fan-fiction that no one's ever going to read xD Was worth it anyways.

This is by far the wildest ride of any video game franchise that I have ever embarked on. the timelines, adventures and trials all done in the name of peace and honor over many generations is mind boggling. im happy you guys took the time to accumulate the entirety of this franchise into one video. thank you

I think there might be an issue. BotW is not said to be in any of the timelimes and is often thought or said to be considered the first entry in a 'Unified Timeline'.

So long story short, a version of Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf are basically destined to always cross paths, battle, and have their stories align no matter what (aside from Majora’s Mask) even the Gorons, Zoras, and Gerudos lol but seriously the dedication in this! I know more about the series as a whole now than ever before without having to play all the games. Very well done!

I think I messed up the BotW placement in this video. Will upload an updated Final Version on Monday after going through all of the timeline possibilities by looking over the first memory cutscene in multiple languages (Japanese, French, German) and the mentioned Zora history quest involving Princess Ruto, the Goron Figures at Goron City. Looked over all locations and monuments dedicated and depicting historical Zelda figures. Let me just say, my conclusion will surprise some as I see two possibilities and none of them are a part of the traditional downfall, child and adult lines. This game is a different beast.

Huh, I always thought Ocarina/majora link was looking for Saria in the woods. Felt like Navi left because her work was done.. unless link really wanted to be a kokiri for a while. His story is depressing, poor guy. He's (his incarnates) are always helping other worlds and realms but none of them ever help him.
