I had the Legend Revo A on my 2010 and took them off before I traded it so I did have some experience with them but didn’t compare them to the stock shocks. When I bought my new RG I rode the bike about 1000 miles on the stock shocks then swapped the stock ones for the Revo A’s and the difference was capital letters “PROFOUND”! I am, based on the difference they proved to be on the rear, going to upgrade the front with the Legend fronts too as soon as money permits. They literally took me from “liking” my bike a lot to Loving it A Lot!!

Added Revo-A to back, Axeo to front, unbelievable! Traction, handling, and over all ride 100% improved. I added 13” and my lean angle improved tremendously! I’m 6’4”, 270, so the 13” are perfect! Highly recommend. 2021 Road King Special! Thanks for vid, enjoyed!

Did you go with the heavy duty or standard spring? I have a 22 Road King Special and I'm 6'4" and 300 lbs, ride 95% of the time one up, and I'm in Florida so ride comfort is more important to me than canyon carving. I know Legend says go with the standard springs. Thoughts?

I have my 09 Road King the same way. Progressive Monotube and Revo-A 13" rears. Getting closer to the right sag and with every adjustment they just get better and better. And once set I am also planned to try the #2 setting for the rebound. Even though they're not quite dialed in yet, like you said, a game changer.

@@Broncoride What you don’t really get until you ride with legends front and rear is the fact that the front cartridge suspension has such a profound effect on the rear end of the bike. There’s no way of truly understanding until you’ve got the full package. I would not have purchased the front cartridges until aHad a warranty that covered front fork replacement so I took advantage of the labor savings and they also had a deal on the cartridges at the time and gave me a sweet deal on the whole thing.

The ride yesterday was a 22 RGS. I bought it. Wanna guess what I included on the deal? Yup. It's going straight to the shop from the showroom floor for Axeo front, and Revo ARC rear, plus, of course, Stage 2 Tq cam, 4" Rinehart exhaust, tappet blocks, tappets, pushrods, heavy breather air, throttle body, 12" KST Renegade bars, and heated Kahuna grips. Yeah, suspension upgrades are definitely worth the cost! Glad it's working so well for you. I went with Ohins shocks on the Bonnie along with the Race-Tech treatment to the fork, and even the less-expensive non-reservoir shocks I bought were not cheap, but it's unquestionably money very well spent. The transformation of the front was amazing! I'm starting in on the serious rebuild work on the antique Yamaha now, just ordered the Race-Tech parts for its fork (keeping the Koni shocks it's had for a while, they work quite well).
@Broncoride
@Broncoride 3 года назад
That’s awesome Mark on the Yamaha. You have some talent.
@triumphrider9796
@triumphrider9796 3 года назад
Actually, I'm just cheap (haha). Funny, but one of my closest friends when I first got into bikes was trained as a mechanic, said he'd help me out if I needed to do anything on it, then he saw an exploded view of the motor and said he wouldn't touch it. It's a bit complex, one of the earliest designs I know of with a balancer shaft, and it's a DOHC 8-valve twin, a rarity in the early '70's. But with no training (just a factory manual, tools and aptitude) I've rebuilt it from the ground up once before, replaced the crank and rod bearings and a couple transmission gears, fabricated my own delivery lines for the oil cooler after the factory kit lines leaked (the routing they used was kind of odd, frankly), and the only work ever done that I didn't do myself has been cylinder boring, paint, drilling the discs (which cost $30 each back around 1980), and a couple of welds, one of which was to mount a bracket to hold the rear master cylinder when I swapped out the rear end for one from a later model with cast wheels and a disc brake (stock was spoked wheels and drum rear). But I cut that bracket myself from a piece of bar stock, cost less that $5 (about $20 total with the weld, plus something like $150 for the entire rear end from a wrecked '76 model, mine is a '73, bought it for my 19th birthday.) For years I just couldn't afford a new bike! So I've kept it running (for the most part) and modified the hell out of it over the years, it's a true one-of-a-kind.

Legends has/was going around to many of the HD dealers and setting up promoting. They had test bikes etc. I think that is one reason many of us knew of them. I have thousands of miles on my 12 inch Revo As out of the handful of shocks I have tried over the years this is the best one . I find that 2 gets a little to soft in corner in my opinion. When I did not have proper sag I was running on 2. Legends was at our local HD. I went down and talked to them they helped me with the sag set up. I have the Harley cartridge kit in front forks. However I am curious about the legends front fork kit.

I do hear great things about what you bought even knowing they are priced high for sure but you get what you pay for.
