I think I heard somewhere that it was decided to use a standard English accent as the baseline accent for everyone to avoid confusion. And then as far as Adelaide having different accents, she naturally would have a Perth accent (Australian) but she picks up accents pretty easily and it's easy for an accent she's been working in for a while to show up in everyday speech, if that makes sense. I'm kinda the same way, sometimes I get 'stuck' in an accent, but that's usually just if I'm by myself.
@@haleyjones8960 I was watching her read story’s for people on Twitch Alice in the Wonderland she did a Scottish/Irish accent(idk) it’s really entertaining to listen to lmaoo
It was easy to dislike the character of Catherine in the first season, wanted her to get her comeuppance, but as the series went on, she made me laugh, there were some really funny moments. She was so shrewd and calculating, but so good to watch. And I was surprised to hear Megan Follows without an English accent!
@@hayley-yi7ge so that's where I recognize her! She's Derek's sister ofc I can't believe I didn't put two a two together since that was one of my all time favorite shows for a while
I really wish they had waited to kill Francis off! Francis and Mary's love story was so beautiful even when they had problems. I always looked forward to the new episode because of their love story and I love history but you could have waited several more seasons because the show isn't the same! That's why I bought seasons 1&2 and I will get season 3 but I will only watch until Francis dies! I hope some other show picks up such a talented artist and keep him instead of killing him off when you. weren't following history faithfully. one more thing Francis & Mary were married one year how did Charles go from 7 yrs old to a teenager in a couple of months but you couldn't put off killing Francis for several more seasons!!!!!
Barbara Cox the story is about Mary, Francis was only in a small part in her life. In my opinion Francis died too late because they are rushing her life in one season now. Don't get me wrong, I love the story of Frary
Yeah it was late. In real life, Francis died when he was 16 (something like that) and Mary was one year older and I guess they aren't that young in the show.
They killed him late. In reality they were together for a year, so he should have died earlier, but I get it, it mostly shows Marys life in France. After his death she left anyway
Hi! Actor here - for TV shows (i.e. Reign), the actors are given sides the night before shooting that specific scene. It goes through it a bit in this video, but you'd generally only be shooting one or two scenes in a day, depending on the length of them and how complicated they'd be to shoot. There's lots of different tricks to memorization, but what works best for me is just good old repitition. Maybe skimming over the sides a few times to get familiar with it and then start memorizing individual parts, one at a time. I'll often go over a line, then look at my next line and try to recite them both, one after the other, then look at my third line and recite all three lines, adding on the next line after the next line. You can never be too confident with line memorization, especially with film and TV since it can be a lot of pressure on actors because there's often so many other people on set depending on you to get the take right. I know for me, sometimes my mind blanks for a few seconds after the director calls action, occasionally I completely blank on my line, even if I know it. It's a weird mental process sometimes and everyone messes up here and there 😂 Hope I helped!
I know the real Mary queen of Scots sounded french not Scottish or English because she was brought up in France but I still wish in the show she had a Scottish accent
I didn't get how both Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth could not execute or imprison the likes of John Knox or other nobles due to not having any proven evidence, though Knox and the Nobles could condemn a queen by simple conjecture and rumour.
