I'm still absolutely floored by this car. 3.5 bar of maximum boost pressure? THAT'S 50 PSI! Not to mention the amalgam of parts that went into it and the sheer elegance of it all. It's absolutely chaotic and mad and I love every bit of it.

50PSI is…a drop in the bucket. Believe the current record for diesels in an American pickup is…3300+ horsepower and 180+ pounds of boost? And that’s in an engine with coolant going through it.

Imothep no way men , you can bmw diesel engines forget about 200.000 km or more have too many problems in contrast to Mercedes;) All the taxis are not free of charge all Mercedes this knows everyone has the Mercedes engines are indestructible .Very rarely people buy a BMW with over 200.000km or more but since Mercedes plays in a completely different league;)

Finland is a drifter's paradise 6 months per year. It is fun when you have an RWD car. No matter how much power but the more the better of course, but you can start with something like 60hp RWD Lada because at the winter even that machine is like a drift missile. And there are icy lakes everywhere where you can practice your skills without the risk of accidents.

OM606 is generally called the 2JZ of the diesel world, can spin those suckers to 7k with new valve springs and head setup if you really want to.

Probably not a bad drift car. Long wheelbase gives it great stability, boat loads of torque and long rear end ratio would mean you don't have to shift, so it's easier to keep the turbo lit, and, best of all, you can run it on BioDiesel or WVO or something so you only have to pay for tires to go drifting! Also, long live grassroots insanity like this, liked for sure!

My Vito 115 is now at 452000kms. Engine has never been opened. Handed in the injectors today for their first ever overall. Still the original turbo and dieselpump. Motor still running perfect.

Ken block isnt a professional drifter, he races rally cross, and rally, so when he DOES drift, he isnt in the right equipment... But this guy here is drifting a diesel station wagon, that takes some damn good skills!

rzr kid Ken block is NOT in the right equipment and he does not drift. Drifting only possible in RWD cars. Block powerslides or whatever it is called in english. And diesel torque is good thing in drifting. Only drawback is limited RPM range.

No, drifting is possible is awd cars, just much harder because the front tires are pulling wanting the car to straighten out, and not exactly sure what the differences between powerslidds and drifts are, but who cares, lots of smoke and tire squeal is cool no matter what!
