I drove him to his concert in 1987 at the Shrine in Los Angeles. He invited me to his room to meet his family and back stage at the concert. A gentleman, father and host but most of all a credit to his art and the human race. He will always be loved and missed.
@@marisolcortes9863 I gained so much respect for him, he made sure everyone was alright, everyone that traveled with him, he honestly cared. I was blown away, a very nice man.
I grow up with his music, my kids and grandkids still play his music, he is and always will be the king of Mexican music, RIP Vicente fernandez😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
@@nowayymorales Chente not even half of what JuanGa was stop it. JuanGa sold like 5x the records that Chente sold. You must not know Juan Gabriel wrote songs for Chente. Jaun Gabriel wrote over 1500 songs for Latin artists in Mexico, Colombia Puerto Rico etc. let’s not forget jaun gabriel has wrote songs that turned into hits for other legendary artists like Luis Miguel. JaunGa is by far the greatest Latin artists. He put up astronomical numbers that Chente, Pedro infante, Luis Miguel etc all together. JuanGa was at a Freddie Mercury, The Beatles, micheal Jackson kind of level.
@@nowayymorales Amor etern, el noa noa, hasta que te conocí, así fue and so many other songs have sold over 100 million copies. Those are numbers that Chente would’ve dreamed to have. Chente was the king of rancheras bro. But he had nowhere near the voice and versatile talent that JuanGa did. JuanGa could sing rancheras, pop songs, soul music, and so on.
@@nowayymorales I hope you know Chente didn’t even write his own music. Not to mention he was not as good a performer like JuanGa was. It’s really not fair to compare the both if you break it down. JuanGa takes the cake over any Latin artists by land slide.
“You want to feel proud of who you are? You want to tell your kids what it is to be Mexican and never lose it? All you have to do is listen to Vicente.” Rest In Peace 💔 🙏🏼
I don't speak Spanish but I was always so moved Everytime I heard him sing. I was literally moved to tears whenever I heard him sing. I love him, and have his music close to my heart till the day I pass.
I've been to the south side many times. There is a street named after him in Little Village neighborhood in Chicago. Vicente Fernandez a Great singer and a Warm and wonderful human being .Rest in Peace Vicente Fernandez 1940-2021

Rest in peace, there will never be another like him. I will always remember the good times his music brought us during parties and quinces and weddings. He is and always will be a very big part of who we are.

AS A KID I GREW UP LISTENING TO MANY GENRES OF MUSIC, FROM BIG BAND MUSIC TO FRANK SINATRA, ROCK & ROLL, MOTOWN, DISCO, HARD ROCK, POP.. BUT MEXICAN MUSIC LIKE VICENTE FERNANDEZ WOULD SING WAS NICE. THANKS MOM FOR INTRODUCING ME TO THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF MUSIC.
My grandma, my mom and I we all grew up with his music!!! Three generations!! He's known around the world and we are all mourning together this loss. He was FAR above Sinatra as far as popularity and his voice was SUPERIOR! There's no Latin person that doesn't know who he is! He will be terribly missed and he's a legend!
“An old friend once told me something that gave me great comfort. Something he had read. He said that Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin never died. They simply became music.” - Robert Ford, Westworld
We should not see this as a tragedy he would not want us to see it like that he wouldn’t want us to honor his death and to commemorate his name and his music though he is dead his music will live on in our hearts and so will his memory now he will perform in the skies for him this is just the beginning of his journey ❤️ 🇲🇽 🎶
I would put my speakers both in the car and at home as loud as they could go when his music played. To me, my favorite song by El Rey is HERMOSO CARIÑO! I have introduced this man and his music to my children and I will introduce his music to my granddaughter/ nieta! SEÑOR FERNANDEZ RIP YOU WILL BE MISSED BY THE WORLD WHO KNEW YOU AND YOUR MUSIC!
His legacy will live on for generations. He pass the torch to his son who will continue the family legacy. Rest in peace Mr.Vicente Fernandez ~😭❤❤❤❤❤🎆🎆🎆
Not only does he look like my father which by looking at him and his movies it kind of felt that he was. But since we grew up with his music and lived about 45 from his ranch, he was a huge part of our life. It really felt like I had just lost a very close uncle and I know that everyone who grew up with his music feels the same. Rest In Peace Chente! Dios te tenga en su santa gloria!
Today is a sad day we lost an amazing artist I grew up listening to his music and watched his movies cause my mom is a big fan of him he will be missed very much today ill have my drink up high taking a shot for Vicente 💔
Chente the legendary kid who started signing on the streets of Mexico at 8, years old after obtaining a guitar he soon learned to play. Self Made from rags to riches ultimate singer actor and western rancher Rest In Peace my favorite song ( all of them) 😭
So many family memories generation to generation with his music my heart literally hurt when I heard of his passing it’s like all the elders in my family passed again because his music brought back holidays, family gatherings and the passing of loved ones
Was Jamming out to his music in the garage while I was working on the house. I will always remember my dad and older brother playing this when I was young. We used to go work in the bean fields in a 79 pickup and listen to my dads 8tracks. Now I try to teach my son the ways of old as we listen to Mexican music as we work on the house. R.I.P.. 🍺
I loved this guy and it sucks I only was part of his final concert before his retirement he just kept making music I will never forget him I will always love you El Rey Vincente Fernàndez
